When you look at hex - it says: VS (my team) 25% You look at number and it says +48. So roughly 200 enemies from 1 faction. You go infiltrator, go into a building and I **** you not - +20 scat MAX stare at teh entrance.... How do you stop such a zerg?
I beleive it was our buddy shakespeare who said "To zerg or not to zerg, that is the question" Hopefully those server change token thingys will help
You do know that the percentages aren't updated very well? Best way to deal with a zerg with lower numbers is usually to bleed them out over territories by efficiently killing off their vehicle/air and denying MAX revives. You won't achieve this in just one territory, and flanking around to force them to pull back or get cut off at the same time is a good idea (can even be done in the lattice system). This game is highly focused on numbers so if you can't bring more you need to be able to have the higher quality to compensate. Zergs are usually not that good at adapting and just mass certain types of things because their platoon leaders just says "everyone pull armor" etc... and there leaves them vulnerable to certain tactics.
Delay it until friendlies arrive, flank it on a strategic scale, set up defences at the next base. Basically all depend on getting friendly support though.
First things are first. You are an Infiltrator looking down the barrels of 20 MAXes who have hopefully not seen you yet (you are cloaked, right?). It doesn't matter what you're carrying, you get the hell out of dodge. Secondly, you tell your squad or platoon "Big group of enemy MAXes holed up in <building> waiting for the C4 to be delivered to them." (You are in a platoon or, at least, a squad, right?) Shoot a sensor dart near the door, or all the way into the room. Third, you go play some other sub-objective, cover your LAs as they get to work, or class switch and go about contributing to the rest of your squad dealing with the problem. Fourth, your death is cheap. MAXes are on cooldown.
In before some NC claiming "Why didn't you just grab a LA and throw a stick of C4? You act as if it was hard to kill 20 of our totally nerfed MAXes."
You've been to big fights right? Have you seen amount of fire thrown at a door way? I was lucky to get in with only shields down due to rockets and random fire. Assuming you make it to the doorway - liberators, tanks, harassers - all the vehicles just spam the spawn room, so you might as well call it a day. Death is cheap? I might as well stay in spawn and get more points then try to C4 - even if you kill 1-2 max they will be revived before you even notice it. There never is any reinforcement.
