sorry for another what to buy thread, but i am willing to invest money in this game after trying it and dont want to waste money/certs on weapons that are crap now/will be nerfed to death. any help would be greatly appreciated i am Vanu 4 life for the record, so i would like the other factions to give advice on common pool weps
i would say stay the hell away from Annihilator (all fraction rocket launcher). its getting changed (nerfed) all the time, many many people are even asking for it to be removed from the game.
The NS-11 is a great assault rifle for the combat medic and you can get the platinum version for free with a Game Stop Station Cash card.
currently i play HA, ENG, and combat medic. infil practically sucks when you need 2 to 3 headshots to actually kill someone. and i havent tried LA that much, but i would like to try shotgun on that one. what vehicles concern i use: <-- and any other depending on situation
the Solstice (SF) is a good Carbine for the Eng. And if you are a flyboy you totally need rockets. Ground and Air.
Ok. For HA: The Orion's a very good starting weapon, but I find the low magazine capacity to be a big liability. Personally I use a SVA-88 with foregrip, compensator, and 2x reflex as my all-around rifle. All of the other options are pretty good though. The Lasher, while godly in a handful of situations, is lower than the Beamer in terms of straight up DPS so is a situational carry. One or more of the lock-on launchers are a good purchase, as well. For Engy: Again, the Solstice is a decent starter. I picked up the SF version for the toy attachments, even though as a carbine it's inferior to the stock version. Lately I've been in love with the Pulsar C, but I tend to be longer-ranged support when I use Engy on foot. The basic bolt action for Infil is only 100 certs, so I'd go the cert route for that. I haven't used any of the other options, so can't speak to their effectiveness. Combat medics have a decent starter as well. I haven't bothered grabbing a sidegrade here. (I play medic pretty infrequently, anyway.) Shotguns are great for close-in work, and carry over to multiple classes, so are a decent pick. I don't have any, so can't recommed any particular flavor. Another strong option along this line is the new SMG (which the infiltrator can also use). For the Scythe, I recommend the Hailstorm and either the photon pods or A2A missiles. The PPA is another 100 cert unlock, so is better to go through certs, if you're looking at it. The Saron turret for the Magrider is a must-get purchase if you tank at all. Another strong turret is the Lightning HE (the HEAT is good and cheap, cert wise, if you'd like to save SC). I'd avoid the Skyguard in favor of a second Burster, at least until they decide to un-break it. The Zephyr or Dalton also go a long way to improving the Liberator's play.
For medic, get the H-V45 with certs. It's only 250, and is a nice sidegrade. If you want to use Station Cash, you can get the VX6-7 or Serpent for the Engi or Light Assault. Most people recommend the VX6-7, but personally I prefer the Serpent. If you are more long ranged, get the Pulsar C. For the Lightning, at only 250 certs, get the python HEAT, it's really nice. Also, get the 100 cert bolt action sniper for the Infiltrator to get you started, or go straight for the Parallax. Listen to the post above me for Liberator and Magrider advice.

It will probably be better than both of our current pistol choices and I think that item may become account wide. I can't help you with weapons for medium to long range because I don't play those roles. For vehicles, the only weapon I really love is my Saron HRB and Supernova FPC/PC. Saron has no drop and great for your Magrider. FPC is great against vehicles, PC is good if you are letting your secondary gunner snipe with the Saron while you work general defense as the primary. These, along with Giraffe Camo (for vehicles, armor, weapons) are the items I have no regrets purchasing. Just a note, we have been told items will become account wide but have not been given solid details about which items. I would be careful purchasing the same item more than once (Nanite System weapons, camo, etc), you may not get your money back if you do.
