So few days ago I reached 10000 certs which seems to be that cap and I didn't know this before. So guess it's high time to spend some. Atm I only play Engineer and Infiltrator and I got their certifications in a good condition. I also got ammo sunderer certed up for vehicle play. These days I play a lot with semi-auto weapons and was wondering the the TR T4 AMP would be a good choice for a sidearm. I know underboss or commissioner are solid choices but I'd like to use something faction specific (currently using TX2 Emperor). So, is the sidearm worth it in your opinion? I'm also interested in light assault and medic but I haven't really touched those yet. Thinking I should rank up their abilities beforehand. Any tips for medic and LA certifications?
Well the AMP is a waste of time, you would be better off going for the repeater, great fun and accurate. Personally i like the Blackhand. Not long had it and its like a rifle and if you play stalker you can hide hit a head shot, move and hide again. It gives the infil another dimension. LA is just pure fun, but take a little skill to figure when to push. Medics have great guns, and you can ramp up a lot of certs reviving people, so if your after certs then medic. I hope this helps some what?
Light Assault is my class of choice. If you did a lot of infiltrating with the Infiltrator you'll like him a lot. The LA is inferior to the Engineer, HA and Medic in direct combat in almost every way, as the other classes have either straight weapon upgrades, more weapons and utilities and/or abilities that keep them alive better. So the LA needs to make the most of his movement, and it can if you do it right. Movement, positioning, strike. With the LA you'll come to learn to appreciate keeping the right distance. A CQC Carbine or Shotgun plays very differently than a mid to long range Carbine, both in how and when you hipfire, ADS and the distance&position you keep while doing so. This is still different than the Engineer, as with an LA you'll mostly be without proper backup, medical support and probably outnumbered when you play.
The AMP is a high-velocity marshmallow launcher that can fill a doorway-sized space at 10m. Unless you're comfortable with mag-dumping at "barrel up the nostril" ranges, I'd avoid it.
on my tr i like the inquisitor, emperor, or just the repeater. try the inquisitor, its not terrible but not fantastic either, its very similar to the emperor so the playstyle wont be a huge change edit: for LA, cap off stock jumpjets, nano armor, C4, medkits (probably already have them) and never leave your jaguar or ns11c behind. medic, depends on what youre doing really. if youre doing medic-y things, grenade bandos+res nades+default AR or NS AR or the Torq (depending on your playstyle. I personally really like the NS11A because controllability and the torq for the same reason) with shield dongs If youre going medium assault nano armor and AR of your choice with AOE heal
Thanks guys, much appreciated! Won't be buying T4 AMP and just stick to the Emperor or Repeater. Will invest the certs in both LA and medic and see which one I prefer. Thank you for the gameplay and certification tips.
