Will vs get some massive buffs now with the massive underpop

    Ever tried using it against... anything????????? Its useless against infantry, sucks against air, outgunned by everything. You can only use it to snipe vehicles for render distance.

    Be glad you do not have a Striker. What a disaster the Striker is over the other ES Rocket Launchers.

    the lancer is really bad solo. However, it's amazing in teams when setting up AV nests. That is it's niche role, what it does better than all the other launchers.

    I have played all the factions. VS has nothing to cry about with basic infantry weapons or max weapons. They do not need any buffs. So far of the 3 factions I find TR to be the weakest at least when comparing starting primary weapons in combat. NC was the strongest/easiest with starting primary weapons but only slightly better than VS IMO.

    However, the only faction specific launcher worth anything is the Phoenix. Even then its mostly just the fun factor of a TV guided weapon more than its effectiveness which is still good. The striker and the lancer are both only good when used en mass, but then again ANYTHING is good when used in that manner which makes them rather pointless. If I could refund the certs I spent on my lancer I would. :(

    If you are playing VS, as I am I can tell you without a doubt that ever since about month ago we are nothing more than dead people. You can tell completely by play style. Both TR and NC run around freely taking bullet after bullet hardly ever having to seek cover. They can play Rambo style and be effective. Perhaps I can only speak for myself but it's always sit behind cover and attack as a giant zerg in order to gain any ground whatsoever and even that's a severe challenge. It's so completely obvious. I know my own play style has had to completely change as I am automatically a two shot kill no matter where I get hit or with what I get hit by and armor is completely useless. I have played long enough to know that this game is so effed up it's ridiculous. Everything I have certed out is no longer what it used to be. It's like I am back at square one and even then I was more effective.

    In all fairness, repeater is by far my favorite pistol, for sheer spray and pray power, and Cycler trv is pretty good. Mosquito is great for AI because banshee+ab+racer shreds the ground peasants, and is far to fast for any other vehi le to even try catching up to it.

    Have you even played TR before? TR is far from perfect. Why? Vs weapons are basically TR weapons WITHOUT suffering from the terrible horizontal recoil (the recoil you cannot compensate for).
    TR is for the most part, terrible at range. Very few weapons are good at medium ranges. TMG-50, T5 AMC, Sabr, and one or two more.
    Pounders aren't as easy as people think they are. If you are terrible at twitch aiming, you are going to have a bad time. If you are bad at compensating for low projectile speed and massive projectile drop then you are going to have a bad time. If you are a bad shot in general, you are going to have a bad time. They are slightly better than the NC Falcons. If you want something that does great against maxes on VS, get dual vortex and ZOE, those will rip through an enemy max in no time. Possibly even faster than pounders.
    The VS anti infantry weapons are almost exact copies of the chainguns too.

    NC is not god-mode. In all honestly, NC is right where it should be aside to a few minor things. NC is in my opinion, for more skilled players due to the extremely high recoil. The NC max is fairly useless outside of biolabs and tower bases.

    VS is exactly where it should be. Pre-nerf ZOE was beyond gamebreaking. Be happy that SOE took 6 months to fix that. Pre-nerf VS slug ammunition could be used as a sniper rifle, that was not intended so they fixed that. Comet nerfs, all of the AV weapons have gotten nerf. The Comet is no different. Falcons got nerfed, Pounders are where they should be, Fractures were nerfed, etc.
    VS have the best default LMG, possibly the most accurate sidearm and AR, VS have really good carbines, and a really good Rocket launcher when used right (Lancer). The VS also have the ONLY primary weapon that deals splash damage.

    If you are dying to decimator shots while in any ESF, you deserved it. It means you are not being situationally aware and hovering in one position long enough for somebody to equip a decimator, aim it, fire it AND allow the rocket to hit you, which the decimator has the lowest velocity out of all the launchers. The LMGs are not all crap. The Flare is actually quite good, It is actually VERY similar to some of the NC LMGs, just with less recoil.

    Here is a list of weapons that are really good on the VS since you can't seem to do any sort of testing or doing any sort of research before complaining about VS not having anything good.
    The CME (AR) is possibly the most accurate full auto weapon in the entire game.
    The Pulsar (AR) is the default medic weapon, and it is possibly the best default AR.
    The Equinox (AR) is also very good.
    Flare (LMG) quite accurate, lower rate of fire but higher damage. Very similar to the TMG-50 and the EM6.'
    Serpent (Carbine) High rate of fire close to medium range Carbine. Great in almost every situation.
    VX6-7 (Carbine) Possibly the best Carbines in the game for hip fire. Very similar to the TR Lynx but slightly better.
    Lasher (LMG) The ONLY primary weapon in the game that has splash damage.
    Lancer (Rocket launcher) The highest velocity rocket launcher in the game. You can snipe ESF's out of the sky with a little practice.

    Either you have never actually tested these claims out, or you are doing something extremely wrong. It takes about 8-10 shots to kill a max with pounders. That requires you to be extremely accurate with them for firing two arms, 4 shots each, reloading and firing out a few more shots. The falcon requires 4 to kill If I remember right, that means you have to be pinpoint accurate since they have very little splash, AND reload after each shot. I have not done much testing with the Vortex, but I do know that if I see a ZOE max using the the Vortex on each arm, I run the other way because those will rip apart any max.

    Comets are still good for close engagements. They do quite well when used right. Falcons are higher damage beause they only have a one shot magazine. Ravens aren't absurdly OP, although they do need some tweaking (longer reload or slower ROF). All of the VS anti-infantry weapons are almost exact copies of the TR chainguns. ZOE still increases your speed, but not as much as it used to because it was exploitable and confused the server so hits were not landing.

    The Magrider is not a brawling tank like the Vangaurd or Prowler. They nerfed the Magburner because it was allowing people to get into areas where they were not supposed to. It was also allowing Magriders to launch into the air several hundred meters if done right. The Magrider is a stealth/sniping tank. It is not meant to be used on front lines. It is the only tank that can dodge shots while returning fire. The only thing that I think the Magrider needs, is a slight drop decrease.

    The Jackhammer is supposed to be the way that it is. It has been through buffs and nerfs. It is finally where it should be. The Mini Chaingun is terrible in its current state. How people can actually stand to use it is beyond me.
    The Lasher is far from crap. It is a very situational weapon, BUT when used in certain situations, it does very well. I have stopped an entire push with my Lasher before.
    The Lancer is far from crap as well. You can use it to snipe aircraft, tanks, infantry, Mana turrets, etc. Yes it is best used in groups, but it is not completely useless.

    Strikers have been nerfed to the point that it is completely useless. A squad of Annihilators will always be better than a squad of Strikers. The Striker requires you to keep your reticle on the target, has the lowest damage (900 if i remember right), and has a rather short range.

    Actually, on Connery, if it isn't the NC overpop causing the NC to win every alert, the VS win it. Alerts are about teamwork. Example, TR on Connery typically only holds 28% of the global population. TR won a bio lab alert last week. How? The faction worked as a team and pushed NC and VS out. We won the alert with literally 2 seconds to spare. NC is overpopulated on almost every server at the moment, if not all servers.


    TL;DR: TR is in desperate need of buffs after continuous nerf over the past year. VS is the most balanced faction. Only real problem with NC is that they are overpopulated.

    If you don't like how "weak" VS are, try another faction. Simple as that.

    OMG, now its gone from buff ze TR, underpop back to buff ze VS underpop?

    Its only the FoTm ******** going around...VS wanna see the new changes, so every VS is on a TR kick now.

    Before all the TR and VS were on an NC kick, NC was FoTM...

    We dont need to always buff this, nerf this, nerf that, boo hoo VS underpowered...OMG NC OP!

    Aegis shield is not good. I would rate it bad.
    I've said it many times that Aegis shield is not a good ability, it just suits the NC max cuz it has long reloads.
    Even if you trade the Lockdown for the Aegis, NC maxes will still use ES ability's more simply cuz they have more potential with each one of them.

    For the rest:-

    INVUN shield is getting nerfed.
    Enforcer is getting nerfed.
    Aegis is getting a buff.
    Lockdown is getting a buff.
    Vulcan is getting a buff.
    MCG is getting a revamp to differentiate it more from the other LMGs.

    Actually no......... Pounders are an AV weapon but i see them being used more in AI.
    It should be the other way round, buff AV, nerf AI.

    And yea, it has been announced that TR will get a ranged carbine named the -something- Couger.

    What a pile of BS.
    Falcons have 1 shot per mag, but this 1 shot deals more damage than full Comet mag. So VS max should land 2 shots to deliver less damage than NC max 1 shot.
    And pounder is most forgiving to bad aim cuz biggest mag. 5,4!!! time more damage per mag than Comet.
    You think MAXes are balanced? Try to clear room full of infantry with dual comets, like pounder maxes do.

    Most accurate sidearm - were you THAT desperate to find more BS to say about VS? Why do you need accurate low-dps pistol? How often you use pistol at 50m+? All good mid range sidearms are NS, and in CQC VS pistols are worst. Try to duel with any VS pistol against guy with repeater or desperado.

    And tell me more about high skill requirements to use NC weapon. I started NC alt some time ago and any stock NC weapon is easier to control than its VS analogue. Its a pain now to get back on my VS main with that first shot jump on most guns.
    BTW, when I play on Cobalt, TR outpop VS most if time and sometime even NC. I guess cobalt TRs were not told how nerfed they are.

    You are wrong, some weapons (AV) are primary to AI like Pounders are. Its grenade launcher. Comet isn´t for AI but for sniping (no drop) vehicles or MAXes. BTW VS aren´t about dmg (LORE SAYS).

    There is no reason why VS should be buffed just because of a low pop. You dont balance a game on how many people play the faction.

    Yeah it makes no sense why comets should do so much less dmg compared to falcons, spec. now when av weps are used to kill ai so much.

    But i dont understand why soe nerfed saron so much.

        • This makes it require 3 direct hits to drop non-infiltrators instead of 2
        • Inner blast damage radius increased from 0.5 meters to 1 meter
    Are they stupid, no vs buffs but saron nerfs wtf really? Its liek they dont want ppl to play vs anymore :(

    Falcons are fin for AI too, just not to degree of pounders. There is another tier of guns for sniping armor - Ravens-Fractures-Vortex. Comets are in close range Av with splash tier, like pounders and falcons. Or would be of not for low DPS, low alpha damage, low damage per mag etc.

    What VS are about? Mobility? With 10kph strafe on mag and zoe which 90% of maxes dont use? Or maybe no bullet drop? Should we compare drop of any vanguard main gun and any mags one? Or maybe versatility? What is our versatile MAxes weapon for CQC domination? Or they are "versatile" only at long range, where maxes are not actually needed?

    Famous Higby's line about VS using only OP toys shows a degree of bias toward VS.
