what title says plus im soo tired of having to play at "very low" setting

Can you provide your specs? I've been playing on "very low" for a long time now because my main rig (see below) has been in the shop for months (a long story -- basically Alienware Customer Service is absolute garbage for the money you pay for one of these things) but I'm hoping once I get it back I'll be able to up that somewhat. I guess I'm asking the community, will I be stuck with "very low" as well with the below specs?

    Specs:
Microprocessor: Intel Core i7 2960XM Overclocked Turbo Boost to 4.0GHz (8MB Cache)
    RAM: 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1600MHz
GPU: Dual 2GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580M NVIDIA SLI Enabled
    Harddrive: 1 TB RAID 0 (2x 500GB) 7200RPM SATA 3Gb/s

    What's wrong with the graphics?

Depending on your system specs & luck you should see a boost in your frame rate when Omfg goes live. You could then always trade those extra frames for a higher graphics settings. You might find a frame rate you find playable & prettier graphics.

when IS ofmg supposed to launch?

Not quite sure if you mean "fix graphics" implying there is some sort of graphical issue or glitxh, or if you just mean will it improve your system performance.

    Will it improve your performance?

    Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: Yes, depending on your system specs. The idea behind OMGF has primarily been to improve multi core utilisation by breaking up the games core processing thread and optimising game elements which are unnecessarily resource consuming (such as the HUD). Current testing shows around a 25-35% improvement in performance for nearly all systems. Particularly systems around the 3-4 year old mark, (quad core intel and AMD CPUs around 3.5 to 4ghz in clock speed, 4+gb ram and non ssd SATA HDDs.)

Its important to be aware though that a 30-40% performance improvement on a system that was only running the game at 18-22fps previously will still only bring it up to around 26-30fps. If your system is only just on the edge of the minimum requirements or below this patch is not going to see you running 70+fps on ultra in a 300 man combined arms warzone.

Is posts by the development team are anything to go by, very soon. As always they say that if they find any issues at all they wont hesitate to hold up the patch till its sorted (this is a good thing), but I'm expecting to see it in the next few days to a week.

No idea. I'm inclined to think not but it'll be a pleasant surprise if it is :D

To be blunt the graphics aren't broken, your computer is just not good enough.

If it's a windows bases system, go to CONTROL PANEL, click SYSTEM. Cut and paste what ya got. Or, run a DXDIAG.

processor: AMD A10-46000M APU with Radeon(tm) HD graphics 2.30 GHz
    RAM: 8 gb
system type 63-bit operating system, x64-based processor
  13. Kastrenzo

    Is that a laptop?

odds are, you won't see an improvement if you are using a laptop.

    also, it's 64 bit, not 63
  14. Chipay

You're using an APU based system, this means GPU and CPU in one chip and your GPU runs on your RAM and its clock speed.
an APU is a graphically VERY weak system, there's nothing wrong with PS2, it's just your PC not having a dedicated GPU.

This is how your GPU performns in other games

Jump on the test server to try it out, you will get a free booster in time just for logging on the pts. Personally i've not noticed much difference, but the game already plays well for me on live.
  16. darthraven118

how do you get on the test server?
  17. darthraven118

weird because i can usally play other games in really good graphics. and after that ghost patch last night i have been able to play on medium setting pretty well
  18. gigastar

Theres a good chance that if you cant run the game at a normal graphics setting, then you will probably continue having problems running the game at normal graphics settings.

Srsly i dont get it why ppl moan they cant play on laptops i mean wtf is this. if you want to play pc games get ur self a gaming rig not some fancy fb ******** on knees holding lappy. Or spent actually loads of cash to get laptop capable to pc games.

Sure u can run it, sure you all will start in a while - my laptop can run... bla bla bla. Uh oh u must be rly enjoyin staring and loosing ur eyes on smthn like what ? 17" at best..

Get urself console or somethin instead just for your gaming experience. Its a second topic like that in this week afair. I bought a laptop with A10 and this game is crap bla bla bla - NO! Ur laptops are Crap. They are designed for FB/YT/TWT and other idiotic teenage stuff. As a side not +1 for AMD marketing and for sales guy which sold you this :D

So yea, good old rig with some cool fan noise at least u know some power is over there.

Sry if i was ranting but still....
