Ok now after a while I need to refuse my Workaround. IT IS NOT FIXED I still do have the same issues, only diffrence seem to be it takes longer till it will start now. Privious it start after 2-5min now I'm able to play for 20-30min. till it starts again. After log out and in again I'm able to play for additional 20-30min.
hope they fix this soon, i expected a hot fix by now. the longest the game would let me play since the update was 25 mins. i get a little lag , then every few mins it will get worse, then i get the flash bug and the game crashes
Yep, no change. other then as i said if anything its worse now the funny thing is before the march 1st update the game worked perfectly... so it has to be something server side.
1.0000 It bounces between that and 0.9999 then it pegs on 1.000 I also ran this command a couple days ago trying to help the issue. not sure if it matters for this bcdedit /set useplatformclock true
Here's mine (I get the de-sync bug - mainly noticable with hit register, and dying frequently to people after I kill them, or being shot well after I run around corners). I only get it since the server merge/last patch. Anyway; No idea what that means. I ran it for 2 minutes.
My bug is more insidious i guess. mine is primarily hits not registering. seeing the animations but nothing connecting. then when it gets really bad then the warping occurs. i put a video up earlier that shows exactly what my problem is... here is my wintimer report...
I see. When that number goes too high, like 1.0022, that causes desync. But clearly that isn't the culprit in this case. SoE made one two many shortcuts with the netcode I'm thinking. If you share some data with eachother, you may find a common denominator and have a better chance at finding a workaround on your end. Other users with the same motherboard I had had the same issue as me, and thus same solution worked for them. Good luck.
I still have my old "shopping list" when I built this PC (about 15 months ago!), see if you can find anything common. Personally, I think the common-factor is going to be: Planetside 2 - Asus P8Z68-V PRO Z68 Socket 1155 8 Channel HD Audio ATX Motherboard - Intel Core i7 2600k 3.4GHz Socket 1155 8MB - Corsair 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz Vengeance - Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64 bit - NVidia GeForce GTX 560 1GB GDDR5 And internet ISP is a "Virgin Media" connection... my ping to the server IP (I play Cobalt EU server) is between 19-29, and it's a 60 meg cable connection with 3 meg upstream (not great compared to most of the world, but good for the UK!). Wired of course, not wireless!
looks like our common factor is NVIDIA GPU and OS and thats about it. my CPU is an AMD, RAM is 16 gigs of DDR3 kingston and MOBO is an Asus but is a Crosshair V Formula.
I was having this issue but Shasbots suggestion on another thread fixed it. If you're on Asus it's worth a try It can be found here - post 869: As well as the other problems, **** flying everywhere.
Ill give that a shot a little later tonight and report back. Cant play right now as im busy with other things. but i completely uninstalled the AI Suite after disabling those options Lets see if it makes a difference.
Well i was able to play for about 15 minutes and it appeared to work better. Seems odd that the sensors would affect gameplay though. SOE must have some really crappy programmers....
I don't have any Asus software on here - it's a clean Windows install (I don't tend to like having all the extra software by Mobo manufacturers etc. on my PC) - and no overclocking/turbos/tweaks/monitors/sensors or anything. Which makes me sad, as it means I can't do any of the recommended stuff
And that's the common denominator alright! One of the CS bots may want to take note of this, add it to their knowledge base or something. As to why it affect us like this in the first place? Who knows...
The workaround that worked for me regarding the warping/desyncing/rubber-banding that came with GU2 was to go into my BIOS and change the overclock option from auto to manual. Worked like a charm! But now, like everyone else apparently, I'm experiencing these new issues that came with the March 1 server merge/GU.
I'm having lag like symptoms also. My internet connection is fine even to Connery. I've posted my pings and traceroute in this thread http://forums.station.sony.com/ps2/index.php?threads/mysterious-lag.100618/. The problem started around the time of the server merge also. Puzzling thing is that Connery wasn't merged with any other server. I think it must be the PS2 client. The game is totally unplayble.
