Population imbalance is the ultimate cause of the death of the server, A large number of cheat like to go to a large population faction ! This makes it more difficult to catch a cheat. A less population faction They have the worst gaming experience. They were treated unfairly. When a faction of the population More than%40.At this time the other two faction also played a union Is also unable to defeat! time is American night, like connery the TR Population than%40 to 4 hours! The population is not balanced because you can change the faction at any time.Because you can also get more experience in the More population faction.
Pls English properly. Its painful to read Lastly you'd best get used to it. Population imbalance is always a problem. Probably always will
Thats incredibly rude English isnt this persons first language but theyre trying to communicate with us and youre being horribly discouraging @OP They need to add resource and EXP boosts for underpopped areas to help this
There will probably never be any change to "fix" Faction Population Imbalance. PS2 Devs have never mentioned any interest in Faction Population Balance. And the only thing they've put in the game to encourage Population Balance is the underpop Faction XP Bonus, which has been there since launch... and does very little to motivate most players. Until PS2 Devs decide to care about Population Imbalance (unlikely) or until enough of the Community makes enough noise on the issue (unlikely), there will probably never be any change to "fix" Population Imbalance... just like there have not been any changes made to "fix" Population Imbalance in the 3 years since launch. (outside the Resource System change, but it is unclear if they had any intention of addressing Population Imbalance with that change)
I don't have a faction loyalty myself, so I can happily switch between NC, TR or VS (as well as between the two EU servers). But I can see how faction imbalance is annoying to people who only play one faction or maybe only play on one server. As someone said above, this imbalance seems to change from one faction to another or from one server to another over time. So maybe it's just a question of waiting it out. I have to say (and I got flamed for saying this in another thread) that when I feel like a game I'd rather play whatever scenario the game offers than log off. So, if there is no reasonably balanced fight available I'll run with the zerg for a bit or kill off a few of the many attackers before falling back to the next base, depending on which side I am on. I'm not bothered about winning Alerts or capturing continents, I'm just there for the jazz, so I guess this is a simplistic viewpoint (and getting more xp for being underpop, or less xp for being overpop makes no difference to me either). When the game gets boring for any reason I get the urge to try something new, like new class, new weapon, new tactics or riding a tank (I have not been tempted to fly yet as lasting 0.000001 seconds before ploughing into something or being shot down really is annoying!).
I just posted this in another thread. The XP and Resource boost doesn't help severe overpop situations though. This morning on Connery TR was 62% population and were rolling the continents. Some obvious starting points to me seem to be: Increase respawn times / decrease respawn times dramatically (on a growing curve) as regions populations are out of whack. Having a huge population advantage could be damped quite a bit with some stiff respawn penalties. This would of course suck for the over-popped faction, but that is pretty much the intention. Discount / Tax vehicle purchases on a curve. The resource boost just isn't enough. Put in extreme bonuses when the population difference gets beyond a stupid level, such as altering hitpoints and damage output of the various factions. People hate this idea, and they should. But I am just talking when you start to see 50/25/25 splits or worse - game breaking differentials in population. In short, do ANYTHING it takes to encourage populations staying within 10% of one another, OR make the modifiers balanced enough to make mismatches still fun.
I fully agree on this, it's the same situation on Cobalt, almost unplayable for Vanu, even at PRIME TIMES. NC wins by default all alerts , whats the point of even playing ???
