Why The Crown should die, and why it could be the coolest thing to happen in our lore.

The amount of time wasted fighting over The Crown is almost incalculable. People will just hold it for hours while the rest of the continent falls around them. With the new hex system The Crown will no longer be such a focus, which I why I propose taking it a step further and turning it into a giant crater. This could be lore friendly, and a part of the history we actually lived through. Imagine a massive battle involving all three factions, and as one of them was losing they decided to launch a massive orbital strike on The Crown. Not only killing the other two factions, but even killing the remaining soldiers of their own. One final battle, and a haunting reminder of what happened there.


You could even add weirdb3 EMP effects when you fly over the area, turning it into a dead zone. Perhaps even slow damage over time so people cannot stick around forever. Obviously not to the point that you cannot go in and check it out, just that you cannot stay forever. What if there were even destroyed remains of the tanks and soldiers frozen in ash? It could be one of the coolest parts of the entire continent.


TI Alloys still remains but is heavily damaged. Buildings facing the blast zone are charred and debris has destroyed a lot of the base. It is still a base you can cap, but I believe it would be one of the cooler bases to fight in because of the destruction and the view of The Crown. We could turn this into a pivotal piece of our lore, one of the worst battles in a place that we have spent a lot of time fighting over. I believe the faction to unleash this orbital strike should be the Terrain Republic. It fits them well, as they would likely see the losses of their own men worth the death of so many enemies.



So what shall we call it?

I am not even trying to hate on The Crown, this idea stems from how awesome it would be more than anything else.

but what about the CoD migrants? how will SOE continue to generate revenue off them?

Not sure :/ Never even knew former COD players were a problem considering how different PS2 plays.

With the new hex system, expect many more meat grinder fights.

COD veteren here and also a PS1 vet.. What does the Crown have to do with COD, I don't get it..

CROWN needs and the Dev that though it up needs to be demoted to work on Vanguard or Everquack 2.

Dozer it flat and put in a park. That place is a tumor for NC on Waterson.

That is exactly my point. Our lore is not built on enough and this could be a pretty awesome event in the games history

Actually the new hex system is going to make The Crown much less of an issue, which is why I believe we could take it a step further and turn it into a wasteland. The name just sounds right man... The Dead Crown. You know that sounds cool

As well as Mattherson. I have seen platoons just waste time there while I struggle to cap the other **** they have no interest in. The Crown needs to go.

We already have a crater. It's 2 territories north of the impact site. We could move the impact site to the crown's location though, and then put another crown like base where the impact site is (like a second camp connery in design).

I actually have not seen much fighting at the Crown on Connery lately.

I actually rolled with a platoon that capped it, no resistance what so ever.

you're fools if you think removing the crown is going to solve any of the underlying design problems of this game. that is all.

They could do something like ...
THE EVIL TR TRIED TO ENHANCE THEIR PERMINANT HOLD OVER THE REGION BY USING A EXPERIMENTAL TELEPORT DEVICE TO REMOVE THE LAND MASS AND MINERALS FROM THE CROWN AND PLACE IT AT THE J03 IMPACT SITE FOR PROCESSING BUT IT WOULD NOT TRANSPORT ANYTHING WITH A BIO-ELECTRIC CURRENT CLOSE BY AND IT HAD A TERRIBLE CONSQUENCE OF TURNING THE AREA INTO A DEAD ZONE...
( new base with pieces from the crown lying around and as you said and petrified bodies of men trying to reach the top of the mountain, lets leave it at aside from being cool would leave the area over for a revamp maybe not a crater but still a lot less defendable than now. A subterrainian base area would be nice tunnels leading in from where the channel points were in the old crown)

Also and alternitive lore could be THE WAKKO VS WERE TRYING TO INVENT SOME NEW KIND OF EXPERIMENTAL TOILET PAPER SO THEIR TROOPS COULD SPEND LESS TIME TAKING A DUMP AND MORE TIME COMPLAINING ABOUT HOW OTHER FACTIONS WEAPONS ARE OP AND WHY THEY, THE MORE TECHNOLOGICALLY ADVANCED HITLER DESCENDENTS ARE ON PAR WITH US MERE MORTALS. On a more serious note the Crown needs to go regardless.

You do understand if you remove the crown people will just group somewhere else, right? As fun as running around playing conquest with no real point behind it is, most people would simply rather have a fun fight in a place thats busy near 23/7, so all it would do is move people to some other hex.

Ofcourse you have no understanding of any of that all you see if people not playing how you want to and you get mad about it and come here to qq.
