Our weapons cause more damage? yes... provided it hit.

New conglomerate has to calculate the fall of shoots.

The terrans has de beneplacit of the creators, has t2 striker 5 shoots produces 2500 damage, t7 and vulcan for harasser.

Vanus has munition not afected by gravity.

This game has not equilibrium up in the pictures, the terrans generally are in the middle.(this could be subjective) but I think that this show the lint.

if you stick with it and learn to play with the guns the NC is just fine.
  3. Lazaruz

I'm about 16 beers short of fully understanding this, but I was entertained nonetheless.

NC are fine. the weapons are fine. ima be honest plenty of NC kick asz even on mattherson(yes i know shocked). i get killed by NC and TR i don't see no difference. it's the player behind them. if you have the mindset of NC being weak you will never learn and be a better player.

    • The NC weapons are the heaviest hitting and most accurate in the game. To compensate for that, they also have the strongest, but most predictable recoil. No empire has any particularly hard to use infantry weapon.
    • The bullet drop in this game is negligible in the distances most battles take place (less than 100m). All sniper bolt rifles have the exact same bullet drop across all empires.
    • See above.
    • I do not understand your final point. If you're implying that TR are the best, may I present you with these forums, where every other player complains that their own empire is weak and the developers hate them.

The Gauss SAW has a vastly different learning curve and play-style than either of the other two starting faction LMG's.

The same can be said about the distinction between scout rifles and bolt driver given exclusively to NC. All you need is attachments, something you can get in a day.
  8. ComradeHavoc

And suddenly I lost you there.
  9. MarkAntony

they're not scout rifles. they are semi automatic sniper rifles.
And no. It's not a case of all you need is attachments. That gun takes a lot of time to learn properly. They should start people off with the EM6!
  10. SpetV

Vanu weapons have no bullet drop? Check the snipers.
Your max has shotguns that are deadly in CQC and the Vanguard has the shield that makes him take no damage.
I played with NC and I think the weapons are fine. If you want less bullet spread and recoil, the damage for your weapons should be lowered so they won't become too overpowered.
  11. Xasapis

They probably should. They should also give all snipers the same type of sniper rifles the NC get as default. Not sure why the difference in choices, besides trying to technically exacerbate the differences between the empires.

Most accurate weapons ? The NC ones ? This is coming from a Vanu ? Seriously ? Stats make you a liar, stats would make you a liar even if you were rolling as TR, no need for me to say the same.

That being said devs CARE NOT about NEITHER the NC, the TR or the VS. They care about making money and that's that. Would be best for ALL of you to get that into your brains sooner rather than later.
  13. ComradeHavoc

You do know the TTK under 5 meters for all factions is ridiculously close, and that's without Zoe. The Vanguard shield can only take a certain amount of damage. And across the board VS weapons (excluding sniper rifles have roughly the same drop) have less drop than the other factions.

VS is more noob friendly, and NC has a higher skill cap.
But don't worry to much, there will never be a faction that isn't UP, it's just our turn.

Have a look for yourself. No need to take my word for it.

PS2 Weapon Data Sheets JUL12 - Google Docs
  15. HellasVagabond

From data sheets to actually use things tend to differ. When according to official stats both VS and TR classes have higher kill rates something is not working as it should. Personally i use both the Blitz and the Cyclone but even BR1 TR use weapons with better accuracy (could take countless vids that show that) so somethings definitely off.
  16. Xasapis

Hit detection, flinch and other variables can contribute to different experiences, but ultimately this is a computer simulated environment with set values. Your running speed is set at a specific value, the height you can drop before taking damage, the maximum amount of damage you can take before dropping dead. And obviously, all weapon values including accuracy, cone of fire, rate of fire and all the good stuff.

If the in-game experience does not follow the data provided, then there is a bug somewhere that needs to be squashed.

It doesn't take long to "learn" properly. You must be new to FPS games or something....
Besides, the VS and TR can say their infiltrator's starting suck and the NC is better.
But any fool would know that you would just need to purchase the el cheapo gun and it'll be just as good as the other.

Many who knows how to play FPS games love the SAW. And it doesn't require a lot of attachments. They help some, but they are not needed at all. It goes with preferences, and since many TR and VS didn't like their starting infiltrator weapons, they simply got a different one. The NC heavy can do the same.
  18. ohmikkie

mmm... When I tried NC starting LMG it felt like an even more powerful (slightly) Ursa. I was getting hits & kills at rangeI would not even try with an Orion.
  19. MarkAntony

take your personal jabs and go somewhere else.
It takes longer than any other gone to learn to play it at it's peak effectiveness.
  20. The King

Take your own advice. Take your "personal jabs" and go elsewhere.
