Why is NC so Damn Hard to Fight?

    A faster and simpler way of saying this is:The NC max uses shotguns. Why people don't understand this is beyond me.

    I happen to have the Gauss Saw Auraxium. It was great before the nerf, emphamis on the words "before the nerf". If people want an "Average" weapon that fine. I would like the MCG on my NC too not because it's OP because its "Fun".

    As for the Engineer / Pheonix. It's 1-1 at the very least, so you aint "losing" any players. Infact you are gaining, because the Engineer in this case is deemed more powerful, as the Phoenix can't out damage the Engineer. So 4 pheonix's can be handled by 3 Engineers meaning you are taking more man power away from the NC.

    5 players with AV Rockets should out right kill anything. If you think otherwise then you are clearly delusional. GL geting people to support that claim too.
    Team work = Power. You must learn to counter a good team with a team yourself, SOE wont nerf teamwork for the likes of you. Also have you heard of smoke grenades? They are the best defence for a Sundie against Phoenix's. Use your head and think ahead.

    Average DPS is at the DA website link I posted before. So feel free to read up and learn a thing or two.

    PS. DPS stand for "Damage per Second" Infantry HP pool at default (before nanoweave) is 1000. You're saying the Jackhammer has a DPS of 2500+ would mean it can kill 3 guys in a second.

    Just tested. It takes "7" (6 to put on fire) Phoenix rockets to kill a blockade Sunderer. So where did you pull that BS about 5 needed to kill one?

    no, the NC aren't overpowered. their equipment is just specialized for closequarter combat (Max) or bruteforce (Vanguard). they are theoretically deadlier than other empires at longer ranges as well due to their bullets' higher minimum damage. but the NC also have noticeable downsides:
    - their damage-per-second output of most of their weapons is comparatively low
    - their guns suffer from high recoil and low controllability
    - they also have smaller magazines for many infantry/vehicle weapons
    - their empire-specific vehicles are large, their tank is slow and less agile

    apart from that, all empires share the same hp pool for their classes as well as most (NS) equipment ingame. you (original poster) should probably play the game a bit more before jumping to conclusions because that is what makes this game less fun when everything gets nerfed to uselessness someday

    NC have high top tier damage with weapons like the God Saw, they have lower but still hard hitting 167 damage weapons, and they have a blistering ROF with weapons like the GD7F. They have each damage tier and ROF tier. They have the beast heavy weapon in the Jackhammer (MCG is a close second), decent secondaries. They also have the best AV MBT.
    That said, the only problem I have is just that they have +35% pop constantly and hit 40%+ on a regular basis. Thankfully outside of a few outfits they aren't the brightest because they use the "If you stuff enough bodies into a point you will eventually capture it..." tactic.

    Do I need to remind you about NC's AI MBT on the contrary? Not that I don't use it with +200 mechanized resource gain and an equally demented gunner.

    Connery NC is good....and then they arnt.......Connery VS wins all of the alerts, and Connery TR makes life hard for the NC and generally derp around

    When I play VS / TR, I'd much rather fight NC than the other guy. I don't have to worry about TTKs that leave me dead before the server even informs me I'm under attack, I don't have to worry about hyper accurate weapons or weapons that can maintain good accuracy for long bursts, and I don't have to worry about MAX units that are actually a threat.

    v0c and 00 carry NC the other outfits are cannon fodder. TR is better with the organization overall. VS chose when we want to win and work together.

    higher damage weapons have MORE damage drop of than lower damage ones. Pounders and vortex signifigantly out dps falcons. And pheonix is the lowest dps AV of any launcher in the game.

    oh and auto shoties (of which every one has an identical version) has a better ttk than the jackhammer.

    it takes 6 pheonix missiles to down a tank, and goodly bit more to down a blockade sundy, assuming no one shoots them down in transit. shooting them down is pretty easy too, I am sad that you dont get "explosive kill" xp for knocking them out of the air though. Now lancers, lancers can make a giant circle of NOPE for enemy armor.

    the guass saw is generally considered the best long range lmg, but inferior in every other scenario. nature of the beast and all that.

    Ihave no idea how he got 800 dps though, considering the average AI dps of ar/carbines/lmgs are close to 2000 sans headshots.

    IIRC most TR/VS LMGs are around 1700 DPS, most NC LMGs are around 1500. If someone is having trouble against NC, it's not because of DPS. ;)

    Ya know, they dont even get the better damage at range anymore cuz SoE has normalized the numbers


    EM6 is now 167@10m-143@75m just like the Flare and TMG.
    The rest of the guns are 143 or 125@60 and 65m just like the other factions...
    Only the Gauss SAw still has the @85m that I know of.

    I would love it if they gave the EM6 back it's 85m

    So no, they dont do more damage at range then the other factions...tey do the same, but slower....and sorta more accurately.
