And the NC has the top 6 MAX guns. So they must be better than any NC and VS gun and are probably OP, right? Oh wait. Your logic is flawed because those statistics take into account data from before the nerfs. If you came here with stats that go from gu8 until now then i could agree with you, but since you don't please stop hugging those stats like they're made of gold and distilled truth.

on RoF, we top out at 800 rpm, now considering RoF is one of our traits I would gladly trade half our carbines for a GD7F.

You know, this thread is funny. OP started it for being butthur7 that NC has fast fire rate carbine. Its a pity he has no clue how bad that weapon became after nerfs to gun accuracy few GU's ago. Its useless to carry it over smg now. All in all, its like one of posters said earlier. TR act like the whole faction is a ****** wounded animal, while having some really powerfull stuff, still not being happy about it and CONSTANTLY whining about its total cr@ppiness and uselessness. I am NC player, yes, and i had to take all the dirt in the world being thrown on me for having few specific things that are cool, just to have it nerfed later. All while TR continue to combat both VS and NC on forums, just to destroy us with nerfs. I sometimes would like to change factions to TR, because i think they have cooler toys, but i wouldnt be able to stand thought that i play with such kind of players...

If you were to play TR and try out some of the stuff we have, you would agree that on almost everything we have is the short end of the stick. I'm not saying that favoritism is being done here, but it seems kind of weird how every GU that comes through we get nerfs while NC and VS get buffs. The only time I've seen the TR call for buffs, is when it is blatantly OP.

The TR don't have weak carbines (or LMGs or MAXs or MBT or ESFs or faction Pistols), the Claymore is arguable depending on whether someone knows how to use it or not.

The fact is the TR already have carbines that out GD7F the GD7F, and NCs supposed "high damage" carbine due to damage drop-off rates in carbines, basically isn't.

Which carbines would they be? Basically the only two I ever use are the Lynx and the T5 AMC because they're the only ones that feel any good. I would contest LMGs being good (MSW is alright if you like to hipfire, TMG-50 is serviceable), but our assault rifle selection is GOLD. I'm just curious as to what you think are good carbines? I only occasionally play my NC alt, but I do like the feel of your weapons in general. There just feels like there's a bit more diversity

TR need to go into NC VR zone and try out all this 167 dmg weapons themselves. When I play my TR char I'm just happy with TRAC-5 performance, stock gun just better than anything NC have, except GD-7F, maybe. Just to mention, I have Auraxium on all NC carbines except Razor, GD-7F and AC-X11 halfway done.

Both the Jag and the Lynx do, in general terms.

The Lynx has marginally less maxmium DPSecond (95% of GD7F), but much more DPClip (133% of GD7F and also a slightly bigger ammo pool).
The Jag has a bit less maximum DPSecond (89%), but better min damage (hard to calculate, but it's going to close that DPS gap), and again much more DPClip (133% of GD7Fand a slightly bigger ammo pool), the Jag also handles a bit better than the GD7F in general, and both the Jag and Lynx have better ADS movement.

DPClip being a big issue as one of the GD7Fs big weaknesses is emptying a clip and being vunlerable, so IMO that more than makes up for a very small DPS difference in the Lynx, and a slighly bigger one in the Jag, but better min damage and handling as well as clip size in the Jag.

Whilst you could make either have a higher RoF than the GD7F, you'd then have to nerf the hell out of them in other ways.

I've not looked at the weekly snapshot stats of carbines from the site mentioned (although I might now and in a week and see), but I wouldn't be surprised to see the Lynx and the Jag outperforming the GD7F still for those reasons.






NC carbines do arguably have more diversity though, although that is slightly misleading in the sense of the AC-X11 due to the damage drop-off of carbines compared to say LMGs, which at many ranges results in it being no better TTK-wise, but leaving it with a tiny magazine size and terrible CQC performance).
So taking real world (or game world) performance the diversity difference isn't really that much, if at all.

Actually you are wrong. Using the information from:

All of the NC and TR carbines have an ADS movement of .35 or lower and the crouch ADS of .2 or lower. The move speed modifier is slightly higher in ONLY the Jag and the Lynx.

Another thing you failed to mention as well is the fact that ALL of the TR carbines have a horizontal recoil of .225 to .175. Where as all of the NC carbines have only ONE carbine that has a .225 and all of the others are .175 and lower.

You can not adjust for horizontal recoil. Also, the whole argument about having 10 extra rounds is **** when your weapon has a higher accuracy and deals more damage per round. The fact that your carbine can kill me faster than those "10 extra rounds" go off is null and void.

The TR have the best carbines at the moment, giving them a 167 damage, 40 round carbine would be stupid, especially since it would end up being a superior version of the Merc, since that is how the Devs make TR stuff, for dribblers.

let me see, nc have the tR gun. Blitz have the same "nc damage trait", 50 mg, and 845 rate of fire. Either TR gets an NC version, or nerf Blitz.

The VS have the best stock LMG, no excuses. They can also use bullets so(they love the ns-11c), why can't TR have lazers too right?

Er.... yes, that is what I said. So I don't understand how that is "wrong" given that we were discussing the GD7F vs the Jag and Lynx (the two TR carbines that IMO out-GD7F the GD7F).

No one was talking about all TR carbines or saying that all had higher ADS speed.

The Jag and Lynx bonus movement is more than "slightly" however.

The GD7F neither is more accurate nor deals more damage than the Lynx or the Jag, the Jag does handle better and has a higher minimum damage though (as I said), and both have significantly more damage per clip (a big plus compared to the GD7F whose main weakness is running out of shots and being left reloading).

Okay, now i can say you have no idea of what you are talking about. Few GUs ago most of NC guns got accuracy nerfs (along with revered here by TR GD-7F, which became crap after that GU) while TR guns got some accuracy buff(making guns like carv viable again). That patch kicked so called skillsaw in the balls.
But i agreed that Merc is suprisingly good for a stock gun.

Now I know you have no clue as to what you are talking about and are just arguing because you don't want to have equal ground. The GD-7F has a faster rof, faster reload, yes a slightly slower movement modifier, and a smaller recoil modifiers as well. Read the sheet carefully. Maybe you are the one who doesn't understand.

Please show me what update it was and the stats that state that TR guns got accuracy buffs. I don't remember it and if they did, it was probably on the crap weapons that are still crap.
