Why do People on the Test Server Insist on Disturbing the Peace?

It seems like every time I try to simply check out bases or test mechanics, I get shot at, even after stating multiple times that I was not hostile. It's gotten to the point where I have stopped trying to test things outside the VR, and the VR isn't that enlightening.

Why do people do that? If they wanted to test their weapons, couldn't they at least ask me first?

Yes, kid trolls, use a light assault and don't trust anyone, is what i do for now.

Perhaps because they receive a whole lot of certs to buy all the toys they ever wanted, so they're trying them out, unfortunately disturbing others in the process.

Or that part of testing involves gameplay. The PST isn't just their to get your initial impressions of a weapon, but to offer more data from players using the new items/mechanics normally. Having to ask permission to shoot someone before firing would defeat that, though if you've asked afterwards several times and there's no other fighting going on then maybe you just ran into kids thinking that PST is just the place were you get all the shiny new things before everyone else.

What i do to avoid this is simply switch factions to whatever faction owns the base. works if it is surrounded by said faction and easy respawn if there are still enemies
