Why are we playing?

If people can play Nuketown for years and years, they sure as hell can play Indar for years and years :).

    I'm playing because it's fun.

That's what I look for in entertainment, whether a game, a film or anything else.

    I want to be entertained.

    But indar...is so ew.

There was another snow continent on planetside 1 besides esamir. I forget the name. I loved that one. I remember big battles on the giant bridge.

I loved the traps. I remember my second week in planetside...getting pushed over the edge driving a vanguard...

Yes, wasn't sure if it was cershen or cyssor. One of them was snow & one was jungle

Why do people play any video game? Why do people go to concerts, see movies, go to Disney World?

Because it's entertainment, it's fun. The point of a video game, or any form of entertainment for that matter, is to entertain you and let you have some fun.

Personally I'm perfectly fine with never being able to really "win" Planetside. I'm still going to get a lot more entertainment out of this game than I have the countless others that I've spent $60 on and beat after a week (or less). It's satisfying to shoot an enemy in the face, it's satisfying to take a base, it's satisfying to blow stuff up with my Prowler/Mossie. That's more than enough potential winning to keep me happy, I don't need to conquer the entire map to enjoy the game.

    I play for fun.

I don't need the game to tell me when I "win".

    I know when I've won :D

    And I know when I've lost :(

I don't need to prove anything to anyone but myself...
