Whole game is broke.

I challenge you to watch the whole 10h of Picard facepalming - 10 bucks say, you won't accomplich it!
(I admit, I gave up after 2 minutes... )

Maybe it was bad timing, but still. This game isn't in the beta stadium. Actually it was released about 2 years ago as a full and complete games with additions to come up in the future.
If it was tested on the testserver, then why did it break the game? I guess someone added some new fancy things to this update and broke it completly. If you make changes to an update you should test it again.
But once again, such things shouldn't appear in games like this.

World of Warcraft, a game that's been around for damn near forever, and has a huge dev team and buckets of money to throw at anything and everything, still has bugs and patching problems.

I had none initially (except the cashshop not loading).

Now we seem to have 3 continents locked on Miller and I can't deploy anywhere at all.




And this patch was delayed to not break things!

Imma' take a break and go play Distant Worlds for fifteen hours, then try again.

Judging by the overall responses to not only this thread but to the forum as a whole, I would say people are very happy playing planetside 2. I wonder what this will bump the meta score up to?

was ok, earlier, well at least I could play.

Now cant log in, and when I did a little while ago, could not redeploy could notbuy anything or cert anything...

Oh boy the things that happened today with PS2

1. Couldn't log in had to restart, multiple times
2. Character didn't delete when I deleted it (I can still log into it and play it)
3. Game randomly disconnects
4. Game randomly warps me to different places or I get stuck with a loading 99% screen
5. Can only access one continent, warp screen broken
6. Took a few minutes for TR to cap hossin even though they already did it and the map was already TR only
7. Couldn't warp into hossin during that bit of lag and instead had to use instant action
8. Huge chat delay, took quite a while just for a single message to send

I'm impressed, I have seen games buggy and broken but this takes the cake.

Yea. Can't change continents, map data missing, game stops responding when logging out, my outfit has disappeared, the game now only seems to only run in 32bit. I'm even having issues with the mouse acting strangely. Plus a whole bunch of other problems

Did NO ONE actually test this patch? The game is unplayable...

Works just fine for me. Hitched a bit after my first log on, loading all the new stuff. But after that, besides lagging chat, everything was perfect.

I got my timer certs refunded and my Analyst Helmet and was able to play all without problems.

Bit of a shame really. I'll have to watch "Being Human" with my missus instead

Let's see - Chat won't work at all, let alone on a delay - callouts don't work so I can't ask for a medic and stuff - my station cash has gone - the store isn't working - I can't buy things with certs - I'm stuck on one continent - some of the new stat tracking stuff seems wonky - I keep getting disconnected.

Gonna wait until the hotfix I think.

This is quite possibly the most broken I've seen this game be since launch. In other patches the game has always at least been mildly playable. We've dealt with bugs before. But this? Store is blank, map screen is blank, can't chat, can't redeploy, can't test weapons, slow loading, crashes on logout... yeah. First time I've seen it be completely unplayable on patch day.

Does anyone even test this game before it hits live servers anymore?

I'm really starting to wonder what their "patching process" looks like that they manage to do stuff like this. XD Does it involve interns running around panicking while sparks and smoke fly out of the servers?

Give them some time to fix the mess, it'll get hotfixed eventually.
Honestly content updates have been pretty amazingly stable, compared to what other games tend to experience

Planetside 2 Alpha 2014

New patch appears to have removed all stats, put my BR to 0. I can't access the shop, station cash is gone (apparently) and the map is screwed up. I also appear to have lost my outfit and my entire friends list. WTF.

Is this supposed to happen? What is the fix?

This is on Woodman. I can't get onto Miller because it crashes.

Servers are slow, apparently...
