Who is the late night Vanu capping party?

Someone on here must be a part of the 12am-6am PST vanu capping party on connery. Between these times pop is always around 45% vanu, 27% TR, 27% NC.

The Vanu just cap the continents over and over with next to no resistance.

I was wondering. Is it fun? Are you falling asleep?
  2. Latrodectus

So your complaint is that there's always a fight somewhere for your faction even late at night?
  3. Lunartuna

There is almost no fighting, there is just capping. When there is a fight it's 5 vs 48 vanu. Sorry your not understanding.
  4. WyrdHarper

I believe they are Japanese players, from what I've heard.
  5. MajiinBuu

Is it one huge outfit or a massive random zerg?
I don't think it would be fun.

I have seen this on late night Connery. VS make 1 massive zerg that moves from map 2 map crushing all. Inbetween this there are smaller fights but my advise is if your on that map just switch. They don't tend to respond to other map pushes till that map is capped.

When I say massive I would guess around 60-90 which is big for late nights. Other factions have maybe 1 at most 2 25-48 small platoons on while VS on top of that big group have 3-4 floating around and a lot of times when these smaller platoons are fighting each other the big zerg comes to the fight and kills it cold.

I saw this on Friday night (actually Saturday morning) as I usually play on weekends. I was in that zerg for an alert and left it after the alert was over. It is not one organized group, it is just people who play early morning. Not sure why. I prefer to take my squad to smaller fights to either pull enemy troops away from the main fight, or steal territory that is lightly guarded.

Remember this is a war game. It is not just about finding perfectly balanced fights.

    Ahhh yes, the persistent battlefield.
You put your all into capping bases for your faction and go to bed only to find when you logged in the next day it was all for naught.
The fights are what most want.

What you don't understand is that the next day, they'll have continent locked gaining them a huge advantage over other empires while during prime time can't cap the territory back without a major fight, one of the reason why VS Connery had such high of a score was actually cause the late night scoring was weighted the same as day time. The continent locking for alerts have helped since they'll lose the lock if they lose the next 2 alerts.
Just also wondering, is Connery NC the first faction to cap Hossin not through alerts

    Edit : typo

( I am just thinking out loud - please do not infer animosity in my text )

Huge advantage? Lower resource costs? I am not sure that's a huge advantage.
Still the fight is where the fight is.
Does it really matter what continent the fight is at?
Population fluctuates so much, can the "domination" always be one sided?

Same on Cobalt - collecting certs at the morning, and see no NC players, only bunch of VS and bit of TR locking continents.. and i see Alert running... dat script must be totally broken

There was a smelly vanu zerg on Esamir last night. Lots of planes but no trains and few automobiles. I did what i could before realizing the trivial nature of my one man battle vs the evil vanu zerg.
  13. zombielores

The continent cap bonuses are huge, 50% off infantry resources is just so good, now imagine all the times you use C4 and then double that, or chain pulling maxes twice more often, or twice as much Rez nades (23 infantry resource), you can use you gear more freely and won't ever have to worry about resources.
  14. JudgeNu

I usually only do some of those once, lol, and I am an Auraxium subscriber.
    But I see your point.
It still isn't enough incentive for the average player, I think, to step up their game, or get more involved.
It is, however, plenty of incentive for the hardcore players, who, I am lead to believe, have migrated to VS, where most of the active BR100's rest theirs heads.

Ever since Briggs got back up and running, TR has been dead with pop. Actually, a majority of TR is on Hossin most of the time.

I love those. I roll in front of them placing AP and At mines then C4 traps over and over. They are usually so stupid they continuously die to them at every base. After my stuff has gone off and I get a kill or two with my gun; I redeploy to the next base up and lather rinse repeat.

This ... its been going on for over 9months ... surely it must be boring by now ... but nope .. everynight zerg caps.
You would think that .. but right there beside them are FCRW and T42 (more T42) ... zerging it up.

Who are the 27% on both other empires that won't stop fighting each other and team up to stop that 45%?

I see this when I play late night on Connery as well. Yes its not fun to fight 2 vs 60, so you have to find ways to profit and have fun with it.

    Some suggestions:
    1. Extreme flanking: Come from another base or even a different lane, Tank mine those sundies, or lay traps in the middle of no where bottle necks they go through. Those full 12 person sundie kills are hillarious for everyone ;)
    2. Vehicle terminal sniping/griefing: Find a nice spot where you can target those juicy sitting still people who will use a vehicle terminal, and have fun.
    3. AT mining air pads: I have killed libs this way, even one damaged Galaxy, tech plants with their one air paid work great for this, make sure you go deep behind enemy lines.

Basically these super zergs get so complacement with their ease of capture that they are often very easy pickings for flanking or un-obvious tactics. One long cap battle I ended up killing 8 or so sundies, with that 90%+ xp bonus it can be lucrative. Just make sure you do not focus on the objectives, like a lion or other predator, stay on the outside, be subtle, pick the easy stragglers or unaware and profit.
