Sometimes I can hardly see 100m in Esamir. On my older pc (all settings on low) whilst playing at the same time, this fog is not rendered. Hence I am at a clear disatvantage because the only way I can see enemy vehicles is by random spamming Q and then guessing where to aim. I would like to turn off the fog without changing too much to low. Is there anyone that figured out which setting controls fog?
Actually no.. as I said I have 2 machines running next to each other (lan play) and the one with all settings on low had no fog and could see pretty much unlimited whereas I was limited to +-100-200m vision. Both clients were in the same prowler. Comparison (on a low fog moment) low: high:
If you take a look at the screen you will notice that high results in an unfair disadvantage. Anyway I have figured out which graphics setting causes the difference . (There still is fog in the first screen, it is just a lot less).
I'm sorry for picking up an old thread, but I can't find help anywhere else and this is getting really ridiculous. This would only be true if it's not already random how much fog you have. I've tried both low settings and my usual ultra, and I almost always have extremely dense fog, much more dense than in the picture above. Many times I have brown fog on esamir as well, which sometimes turns white if I restart the game enough times. You currently most likely have an unfair advantage against me. Please read before you comment. Could you please tell us which those are? A lot of people might have the same problem, please make it a habit to tell others how to solve problems that you had. Apart from having to get worse graphics to get visibility, things like infiltrators gets harder to see, which is just unfair x2. TL;DR: Please, please tell us, which settings control the fog?
Playing on abolute low and lowered render quality. If there is the fog - i still get the fog. Its massive. OFC i think that i have 10% better visibility then poeple with higher setting. There is no ingame setting to lower, resulting in no fog.
