PHX has been defending Hvar tech plant on Indar and the surrounding area ALL DAY. We have repelled multiple assaults by TR and VS.

None. All we do on Jaeger is sit at the Crown and lose the continent on Indar. It's not faction specific and may not even be server specific. As far as organized? Not many at all. It's all about zerging, a loose collection of morons pretending to be tactical. If you actually suggest something tactical the majority of your faction will either a) send you a tell about how "stupid" you are b) go the other direction c) blow your vehicles up d) TK you on sight. HSTL seems to be alright. TRAF not so sure about. Have seen some real dim bulbs with those tags on and to be fair, have seen some really good team players from them.

I've been with TRAF for a couple of months now. The way our command structure works is that our command makes the strategic decisions then gives the orders to our platoons. Platoon leaders then send the squads on their objectives. The squad leaders then make a tactical decision on how to get there, who to send by breaking up into fire teams with sergeants leading the squads and fire teams. Some squads get micro managed by calling out individuals with their goals while others just use the squad numbering system to send people out. A lot of organization looks chaotic to the enemy because we usually run up to 3 platoons of our own with coordination of TT6 and a few smaller outfits.
  6. Weatherford

    Not true.

    Code of Conduct
Thou shalt not recruit or engage in general asshattery where the /orders channel is concerned.
It is annoying. If you do use /orders, please be polite and phrase things in the style of a request rather than a command.
Thou shalt not engage in the killing of fellow TR.
Teamkilling permitted if under direct fire or a friendly sunderer is parked at the bottom middle of an enemy Biolab.
    Thou shalt use good judgement.
We are [TRAF]. So long as you wear the name, you represent us all.

Thou shalt not hack or exploit.

I use a /region chat recruitment message "/re Looking for an outfit? [TRAF] is a large and well organized force that knows how to have fun. TRAFoutfit.com! :]" to try and get people to check out our website. It is not aggressive and it is the mark of an outfit leader who cares.

I have been doing it before you were an outfit and I will keep doing it. I won't ever use /orders for anything but its intended use, nor will I allow people with our tag to.

This is the chain of command [TRAF] operates under during Major Operations. There is usually no need for a battalion commander during General Operations.

We use command channel to coordinate between squads and never have more than 16 people in one squad channel. Air support is it's own separate entity called in by a SL or Fire Team Leader. If we zerg, then there isn't an outfit on this server that doesn't!

For anyone interested, here are the duties of all of our ranks during both General and Major Operations: http://trafoutfit.com/promotions

Our outfit was the first on Jaeger to utilize Teamspeak, Command Channel, website recruiting, uniform squad advertisement, scheduled operation events, fire teams, and backapping squads.

While you may argue that at our size, we cannot possibly coordinate effectively; you'd be wrong. Our many successes (and some failures) are compliment by the fact that these things have been emulated by so many other outfits on Jaeger.

I care more about our server being the best than my outfit being the best and always have. Contrary to some opinions I have heard formed by people that have never even spoken to me, I am not an elitest and very much against that attitude. I spearheaded the Jaeger High Command group for TR outfits on Jaeger to unite - having nothing to do with [TRAF]. But, until there are more organized outfits on the TR team, it will not work.

I know that day will come, though. [TRAF] will be here under me or someone else when it does.
  7. Dagonlives

I have noticed this toned down over the last week or so. Keep that juggernaut running!
  8. PandemicLegion

Can we have a certain example of the "toning down" over the past week of our CoC?
  9. Dagonlives

No. Try reading my other posts instead of attempting to catch me in a verbal trap. I explained this already.
  10. Blackweb

    /agreed

PHX adds to that. We never poach or recruit from other outfits.
  11. Haskaal

Stay on topic. This is obviously trying to follow the format of PureSalad's best ESF fighter thread only this one is for best outfits.

Name ones that you believe are eligible to be on this "strategically intelligent" list of outfits, but do not endorse your own outfit on here as legitimacy and reputation from others play key roles in this thread. Also, try not to bash on large outfits as "zombies" or "zergs" unless you've been in that outfit yourself long enough to make that judgement.
  12. Dagonlives

I made that mistake, I have rectified it.

IMHO Go with SgtBlackbirds guys in Ethos he runs a tight platoon and will guarentee you some action. Everything he does has a priority. Im not even in his outfit but he runs things well and as long as you listen you can have a good time. I would not suggest going with Expo (ran by a 13 year old kid who can't spell btw) or EZ co. which imo is the butthole of the NC on jaegar
  17. Dagonlives

Already put them there. I have personal experience with how ETHOS runs their setup. Their air squads are particularly well managed.
  18. Weatherford

Sorry for all the stir as you are right - it was off topic. But, it is difficult not to combat misconceptions.

As far as TR outfits not on your list, I believe [HSTL] should be included. Although [TRAF] has experienced difficulty working with them, it is obvious to me that they work as a team whenever possible.

I've seen [HSTL] sit on points that no one else will. Willing to play guard duty and play it gloriously. They don't think very highly of me personally for whatever reason, but they definitely care about the TR team and are willing to do what needs doing every time I've seen them.
  19. Dagonlives

Understood. My outfit has a very good relationship with HTSL (we use them as trench infantry to hold points we take) as they are great defensive troopers. Many a good times to be had at Space Australia. However they have acknowledged that their offensive capability is not as high due to a anarchist style organizational structure. As such I did not include them in the list. I still get drunk and camp Space Australia occasionally though. So while I cannot list HTSL as a whole, I can defintely list the HTSL 'space dingos' as an option.

The one thing I want to stress: It is perfectly fine if you do not make the list.

What you can do is mention any specialist units within your oufit (such an elite infantry squad) and I will include mention of that squad in this page.

In addition to this squad feature, I am going to now list a general size of that outfit ranging from small (1-24) active players during ops medium (24-68 active players during Ops) and Large (68 plus for ops) In the case of TRAF and EZC I am going to add the option (******* Gargantuan ????) as a choice until I get a volunteered roster number.

Furthermore, I only want to list an outfit at the recommendation of someone who is not a member of that outfit. I have had some PMs from reputable outfit leaders telling me what they think of different outfits.

This is based on hearsay. I might occasionally get something wrong so please PM me to correct me if I get it wrong and I will do my best to display the correct information while not compromising the intent of the list.

I want this page to be a resource, and as such it has defined criteria. If i ignore the criteria, no point to the list. I am glad to see a post about your command structure Weatherford, but if you can post a specific unit that operates as an elite within your larger outfit, I will include them. For outfits like ETHOS, BoG, BRSN and LEGN I list the entire outfit simply because their entire outfit operates on that level, including most of their recruits.

I am glad we are reaching a better clarity in this thread. Already learned more.
  20. ThePreauxOne

Dagonlives I'm pretty much a one man army inside of TRAF. Any squad that they put me into automatically becomes elite and better than any other squad/outfit. Therefore you can list me individually with my TRAF tag in the small outfit section that would be great. [TRAF]Preauxone
