What works on the NS-11?

So I've probably wasted 300 cert points already.

High velocity rounds -- I can't tell a difference in velocity at range (shooting a few times at a wall at long range, switching it on/off at an equip. terminal, and repeating) and the increase in recoil is almost negligible. Probably a 10% recoil increase at most.

The foregrip -- cuts the miniscule horizontal recoil in about half. So it's now half of miniscule. The starting COF is already much larger than the horizontal recoil anyways, but someone misinformed me that it cut vertical recoil as well, which it does not.

Compensator -- Half the change that the high velocity rounds do -- in testing you're almost splitting hairs trying to see the difference in your aim after firing a full mag starting at the same target.

Anyone have any experience with the other attachments? I'm hesitant to try any of the other ones for various reasons.

The only thing I've tried on this is the NV scope. The results were mixed: on the one hand it cuts off all you see when zoomed after a certain distance, on the other hand it shows a clear picture regardless of lightning conditions and lights up all dem sneaky infiltrators. I was even able to catch one who thought I couldn't see him despite my crappy aim - he was standing still after all.

So, if you use your default scope to check the faraway landscape and take some potshots while you are at it, this thing will not help. But, despite some people saying that characters are indistinguishable without color, all classes of all factions have distinctive outline - especially infiltrators.

Compensator + Forgrip + Sight of your choice should work really well so long as you ADS in all engagements. If you engage in CQC fights more often, then use the Laser Pointer and switch to a silencer with soft point ammo and then just hip fire like a boss.

    Softpoint + silencer + compensator + sight
think that would work best for me.
Was very pleased to see that i could also kill in CQC (since i'm nor good at it at all and more vulnarable then HA guy)

Dont have the compensator yet though.

I also love the shot / shot function. I'm trying to practise this to have more headshots. We'll see in few weeks if i'll get better at this.

I used to prefer HA / MAX, but i just love this gun :)

You can't have a compensator and a silencer at the same time, they are both barrel mods.

You can have 1 barrel, 1 underbarrel, 1 ammo, and 1 sight.
  6. Scythar

    i see,
k, well i dont know what i'd take then...

what are the options for the underbarrel? only light r laser? no grenate r smoke launcher r anything? think not.
oh well... need much practise, i'll see if i'll die a ittle less.

NS11 doesn't get underbarrel grenades. You get Laser Pointer (Increased accuracy while firing from the hip) Forward Grip (Less Horizontal((Side to side/left to right)) recoil) or the flashlight.

    My build right now :
    Softpoint
    Laser pointer
    Reflex x2 / NV scope
Still thinking about what to take as a barrel attachment.
Essentially I can take HA face-to-face if he is not fast enough.

I don't think you wasted certs. Almost all of the certs are useful in some way. The differences they make are subtle, but still very much there, and can and will make a difference. Keep getting whatever certs sound good for you. You have the foregrip for down the sights aiming. High Velocity Ammo does make a difference, especially if you like silencers. Even if you can't visually see a difference there's still less bullet damage drop off than with normal ammo.

Just don't expect any more than subtle improvements with most certs. They're still worth it as they stack up, hopefully to benefit your playstyle.

    I roll with:

    Ammo - Softpoint
    Barrel - Compensator
    Attachment - Foregrip
Scope - 3.4x red dot (forgot the name)

Works incredibly well for me, my favorite weapon. I miss it whenever I play a different kit

I went with 2x scope, soft point, compensator and laser aimer... I have the foregrip but don't use it because the horizontal recoil is so small it's just not worth it... in fact the vertical is rather small also so I may change the compensator for the suppressor tho it's a toss up as not many players actually use their map in battles

to be honest the gun is awesome stock and everything else is just icing
  12. Hagestol

High speed ammo, compensator, grip and NV
  13. TRick Shot

I've gone with 2x Red Dot, Soft Point Ammo, Compensator. Fantastic weapon.

Next is going to be the fore-grip after I've got my medic tool and nanoweave armor improved.

I ran with the fore-grip for a few weeks, then had some spare certs and got the laser instead.. The horizontal recoil is so minimal on this gun the added accuracy while shooting from the hip is more beneficial for CQC. Otherwise I run exactly the same set-up as you and agree it's the best weapon short of a CARV.

Depends on my the situation to be honest. If it's an indoor fight like a Bio Lab I usually run a laser, suppressor, and a 1x reflex or an HS/NV sight. A lot of people don't like the HS/NV but with it's limited view distance, it makes fighting in a Bio Lab amazing. It also sees cloaked infiltrators that like sneaking around or cloaking and running away, and In CQC you just rely on hip firing with the laser. The same set-up works very well at night too. Outdoor or long range battles I run a 2x reflex or 3.4x red dot sight with a compensator, forward grip, and high velocity ammo. The NS-11A is incredibly versatile, I love it.

OK thanks for the tip. Probably saved me 100 certs! Yeah I wasn't struggling too much with the horizontal recoil to be honest. It's just that I'm so used to aiming-down-sights I'm not sure I'd get the most out of a laser sight either. Every time I'm in the hip-fire situation, it generally means someone has caught me with my pants down. Certain death usually follows.

It just means I get started on the long road to maxed medic tool without further delay! Just gotta be strong and not get distracted by cheaper stuff! :D
