Canister and Marauder are fine... just Fury is generally better (applies to PPA) What's wrong with Halberd? I'd rate it over the Saron and Enforcer ML personally. Saron is good for it's CQB damage potential, but Halberd lets you one shot inf which is awesome, and is great at peek a boo short exposure damage. Vulcan is a nasty beast. ONLY good at CQB but better than the Saron. Fury is the all-rounder best option overall IMO though. There's a bundle that includes Fury and Halberd I'd recommend if you're buying with SC.
BRO, could you not detect the sarcasm? I told him not to choose those because they're very viable weapons. XD Why would I have included the Halberd? I hate the thing, but it's still many gunners' favorite.
Oh, well I actually wouldn't recommend Kobalt, or ES AI guns as "best weapon" which is how I took it seriously ES AI guns are fine, good cert choices for a cheap option, but definitely not "Best". Fury kills Inf just as well, and deals reasonable AV damage as a bonus (compared to none). Fury was also missing, which I'd consider the top option overall. Biggest tipper for me though was the Kobalt. It just doesn't fit the platform very well unless you use it like an oversized mobile MANA Turret. Halberd confused me because it is one of the best options (Halberd, Fury, and Vulcan being the 3 "best" options I would recommend). If it wasn't for the Kobalt, I might have picked up on the sarcasm, but I still rate Fury over Marauder/Canister (except for price of entry)
Walker is a beautiful weapon. It does AI almost as well as kobalt, and also tells those A2G trashcans to go away. Canister is cute enough that it's the only thing with heavy cert investment on my NC.
So you were just listing off harasser weapons that killed you then? haha No wonder Vulcan didn't make the list. Also makes sense why PPA didn't Fury is less common because for AI, it's a LOT more expensive than the ES options at 1000 certs compared to 100 for ES. However, like I noted above, if buying with SC, there's a nice lil bundle containing both Fury and Halberd for 700SC (basically 50% off both) and having the Fury gives you solid AI without sacrificing much in the way of AV (DPS is a lil lower than Halberd... range is limited more than anything) and you get them for all factions this way too.
Well I suspect this is the only instance in which I will see Planetside 2 vehicle weapons described as beautiful and cute. Might as well make the most of it... ... ... ... ... well played.
Vulcan, cauz it's gonna get buffed. And because even in the state it is today, you can pretty easily do hit and runs.
I use Vulcan, because i like the idea of a minigun destroying vehicles. Also use the Marauder, because directives.
Dude, wrong. I assume you're joking. To OP: Halberd is a must. Any gunner with a damn... who knows how to fight 1v1 (esp against other harassers)... will know how to use this gun. It's awesome for soloing too. GET IT. Fury is for wrecking infantry and flashes, and it's effective enough vs armor. GET IT. Cannister is a riot. I just purpled mine playing solo exclusively (it was my last directive to complete). Most gunners are horrible with it, but used correctly it's a monster. Eats infantry and stings light armor pretty good. Pair it with proxy radar and surger so you can get into/up to those hard to reach places to whack baddies. Get it. Kobalt is for hanging back and laying down the suppression. It's not a great gun. No. Not without its place, though. It's ok against esfs. Great for flanking packs of infantry. Get it... eventually. Only if you harass a lot and want some variety. It's a cheap cert unlock. Enforcer is the king of long range sniping. Less splash than the Halberd, but you get more chances to hit stuff. It's super accurate. I love it. GET IT. Ranger is good choice if you ever want an AA gun. I almost never use mine, however it does the job. A Ranger Harasser is a smart addition to a roaming harasser squad.
The drop can be accounted for. Learn it and you will know why the Enforcer is a serious threat. Anchored Prowlers and deployed Sunderers know it (if they're paying attention....and encounter quality NC).
