What stops your empire from stopping the vehicle?

All day I hear vehicle spam infantry unplayable HE way too OP but what's stopping your empire from stopping the vehicles?
Notice I said empire, not you or singular people, people complain and saying they can't stop a vehicle zerg solo, you see the problem in that? Your trying to stop 20+ vehicles by yourself and making yourself believe that you will succeed will ultimately end in failure.

If you have a problem with vehicles, then bring your own group, if your empire/squad/platoon/you fail to adapt to the situation, it is not a problem with the game but merely your incompetence for failing to adapt, and with all that failed to adapt you will perish.

TL;DR failing to adapt to a situation where it requires you or your collective to change what your doing is not a problem with the game but merely your own incompetence.

NC seems best for stopping vehicles with Phoenix and Raven spam. They just have the easiest AV options for actually landing the projectiles on the vehicles. AP Vanguards don't hurt either.

VS is alright, Lancers and Vortex have velocity and range, they're just not quite as good as NC options IMO since they can't be "piloted" like Phoenix or guided like Ravens.

TR I'd say are the worst to shut down vehicles since their ESRL and their AV MAXes just aren't effective. Fractures are just suck, Pounders don't have the range, and the striker is like a joke version of the annihilator.

Most people just don't know how to be effective. You can't FORCE everyone to work together in groups, so as a result, most of the people who don't know how to properly respond in force, which I would say based on experience is at least 60% or higher, just sit in the spawn room and get upset that they are getting camped by vehicles. If every single time people got pushed back to their spawn room, every single person at the base went one base back and pulled tanks and other AV, vehicle zergs would have a lot more to worry about than just an occasional rocket flying from the spawn room.

I hop in my AP mag and go vehicle hunting! I've stopped many pushes by simply taking out their sundys. I feel that some people just find it easier to complain about things than actually doing something. Cant spawn vehicles, get LA, pull AV engi, AV max, hop in a ESF.. and if all else fails and the zerg is too much REDEPLOY to a different place.

    On any three empires :

Lack of coordination in actual fight. (Can't safely/reliably 1v1 a tank, team is quicker thus safer/efficient.(
Lack of needed reinforcements. (Against a zerg)
Ridiculously open-base design. (lol, can aim at spawnrooms)
Lack of redeploying to get better equipment. (We are HERE to defend the base!)

Exactly what I mean, if your not willing to put in the effort to stop something, then don't complain because your own incompetence, I don't blame new players for not knowing or not having the right tools but they must understand that this is not a solo game where everything goes smoothly the way they expected.
  8. zombielores

Not even talking about balance, why does everything turn into a talk about balance. I'm talking about #1. the mentality or stopping a vehicle zero and #2. player/group/empires own incompetence for failing to deal with a problem.
  9. zombielores

+1 and Internet cookie for you.

Like another poster said, most people will complain instead of deal with the problem.
  10. Brineskald

The tools a faction has affect mentality. If your faction has fun and effective AV weapons more players will pull them.

You CAN do something about vehicles for sure, deploy some other base next to the base the zerg is at, and shoot at them with an AP tank, most will not even notice you until you start damaging them, and they're all going to be 100% focused on the spawnroom.

But, after you clear out a few HE spammers, and deploy to the next base, they're going to come back again, or they're going to be in a max etc. These kinds of players that do HE tank > banshee/ppa esf > max > repeat will not stop spamming AI weapons until they run out of resources, and when they do, they'll use a shotgun.

Sadly the bases are quite badly designed, so they allow vehicles to shoot directly at the spawn room, making big fights a mess.

Still evades my main point, if you got a problem you adapt be it tanks; infantry; air instead of complaining.
  13. zombielores

Your describing the old resource system, now I can't use a tank, aircraft, max right after each other. My old play style used to be MBT> Max> ESF> Lighting> Liberator/Galaxy> Repeat but the new system caps me after gain MBT> Max> ESF.

If the HE comes back, then you kill him again with AP, free certs for you, killing the vehicle from doing what he's doing is 1 part, preventing him from showing up to the fight is part 2.
  14. Captain Kid

I play solo and don't drive vehicles (crappy physics)
    I don't use C4 (******** weapon) or maxes either.

So basically I shouldn't be playing this game?

I see tons of people playing in the exact same manner.
In fact I see 5 tanks keep 30 infantry locked in spawn regularly.

Don't blame the players, blame the game.
    Driving sucks *** so I don't drive.
Outfits are meaningless since there are no objectives so I play solo.
C4 is about the only real anti vehicle infantry weapon. Lock on is crap, AV turret very situational, av grenades crap.
Maxes are to expensive. Certs and resource wise. And boring to play.
  15. zombielores

So you have the tools but refuse to use it, not to discourage you but you are a good example of what I meant in my post, you failing to do the things you mentioned is not a problem with the game, it's a problem with you.

It's a general "incompetence" of both the single player and the squad/platoon leadership.
The single player tend to choose to be Infiltrator or LA (w/o C4) instead on being HA or Engie with AV weaponry.
The SL/PLs don't enforce or suggest to do that.
So you find yourself against a horde of vehicles trying to destroy them and investing a lot of resources while the other people are enjoying to be farmed. :)
  17. zombielores

See the problem is that "yourself against a horde of vehicles" the vehicles are working as a collective while your working by yourself.
  18. Simferion

I cannot put a shotgun at the head of my fellow players :)
If I'm the only one using a Phoenix against the vehicles' horde, after shouting it in the region chat; if I'm in AV/AA MAX and none of my squadmates repairs me or drops me some ammo (see below); what can I do? Is it really my fault?

After a while I change squad/platoon or switch to another character because I'm not enjoying being farmed.

P.S. Dear engies, invest some certs in your damned Ammo Pack, so we don't have to stay cramped sitting on it to get a bit of ammo and they last more than a fart (6 chars here, 4 maxed Ammo packs, the remaining 2 at 4th lvl) ;)
  19. zombielores

Still one person against everything, you are that person that does the right job at the right situation, if your team mates fail to realize what to do then it's their fault not yours but in the end, your empire/team failed as a whole.
Best thing to do is play with a good group/squad.

Edit ; Max rank ammo pack is so glorious, you get priority resupply and more range.

Spam vehicles to stop the vehicle spam ? Genius ...
