I've always played on emerald and after the past few months I've growen sick of it. The vanu always haves hossen and the zergs roam the land while my team can't stop it. I'm looking for an American server in which everyone has fun and that the NC can actually cooperate and communicate on. Will be a shame though to lose all the progress on my main account but I want to enjoy the game and instead of fearing the vanu hordes of ppa and Orions.
Well on Connery the NC have some elite outfits like recursion (00) and other guys but they also usually have highest population in day hours and like to zerg a lot.
Don't put PHX and VCO in the same tier, that's just disrespectful. Anyway youve been playing with casual ****** outfits on Emerald. What BR are you? Run with VCO on an op night and let me know your opinion after.
Anything but Miller.(EU server but still horrible) Connery NC are quite something , Emerald NC aren't bad at all.
Oh dear, miller NC. I'm always sad when i look at my poor miller NC char collecting dust after i gave up on the faction. Maybe i should play once again for old times sake
It depends why they're bad on emerald in your eyes. On miller I have my nc and TR characters but vs there know to surround a base with ppa's and they win. I don't see that as much on cobalt where my main VS is but NC are terrible there aside from the few who escaped the spamfits of BKNE and GBX.
Don't bother touching that god forsaken faction , rather get another VS/TR to kill than get a new NC teammate...
Cobalt NC isnt bad. There are few good ex-Ceres outfits (MACS for example) and they win quite many alerts. Population is also very balanced here
You'll always find a good NC outfit on any server, for miller I would recommend WASP. The problem is with the common 'blues', because these are the ones that form the actual meat of the game. Outfits can chip in and run their operations once in a while but that rarely makes a difference on the global scale of things. I'm not sure why the regular 'blues' are so bad, statistically speaking it's impossible that all the bad players decide to choose NC, no matter what TR and VS trolls say. My guess is that NC is not a noob-friendly faction. New players can't handle the recoil or don't understand the importance of short bursts for NC weaponry, nc6 saw especially. The reaver is good but hard to fly at first which puts a lot of people off, thus air dominance in the hands of NC is a rarity and always involve an outfit doing their rounds. Forget about randomers just putting an air squad together and making a difference in the sky as VS do (not sure if this applies to TR as well, haven't fly enough in their ranks). NC tanks are awesome but without the abuse of the shield is similar to the reaver, a brick with poor mobility. Max aka the 'doorway warrior' needs to work within is effective (spitting) distance or else they are just a burden and can't offer much outside of being a bullet sponge. There's a lot of good but niche things that NC gets by default which is definitely bad for NC freshers.
Listen to Aeflic! Emerald NC has some good outfits, but you have to find them. If you want to try out an OPs night with VCO for organized platoon level stuff, then he offered you to check us out. Just don't feel committed to staying on one lane or getting bogged down in bad fights- it'll burn you out and make you feel like things in this game are worse than they are.
Sorry I maybe misspoke. Nc have very capable individuals and decent outfits there but what I see more often than them are bkne and GBX zergballs which are ridiculously easy to farm and that reflects on the faction as a whole. You have two of the best players in the game on your side too so don't think I don't respect the nc effort there. Macs aren't bad, but are nothing compared to miller outfits (all sides).
Yep. When I'm on a non-NC alt, I see so many low BR blueberries running around who are obviously new players because 1) they stand still 2) they don't position themselves advantageously and 3) they do not have good reaction times. It's weird because I don't feel like I see this happen as much for the VS or even TR (though it obviously does happen), but perhaps I need more playtime on my alts. Our guns are good. The recoil patterns and handling can be learned over time, but newer players have to figure out how to play so that their lifespan is longer than 20 seconds.

pretty much the reason why I turned to the (dark)purple side (and orion, darn I love that gun, it was love from first aim down sight), although I still do an outfit fight with NCs now and again
NC putting consistent effort in died with Waterson. Though I did participate in a fantastic alert with a last second resecure win on Hossin a few days ago. VS shoved a platoon or more into the point room expecting to win by a few %. So we also shoved a platoon in the point room but with freedom. Less than ten seconds left on the capture and less then three minutes left on the alert. Purple salt for days.
NEVER run with VCO. EVER. they are massive dirt-bags. i was kicked from the outfit for stating that I dislike flak armor.
most of the good players from my outfit also left recently and have been spending way more time on their VS or TR alts. They were all like top 100 among the connery NC infact. 2 of them were in the top 5 server leaderboard at different times and really well known names. One of them doesn't even play anymore now, the other plays for TR instead. So yeah.... there isn't any U.S. server where they're doing okay anymore. Maybe they were for a while on Connery but all the decent players got tired of throwing good effort after bad.
