OK, a while ago I created a thread to thank SOE for making the game not lag almost at all for lower end PCs What HAPPENED!!!!! Now it's back to back to the same old frame rate I used to get....... Can someone tell me what is going on? or even how this happened? or are other people like me experiencing the same effects after they installed the newest update?
I jumped on for a bit and was getting absolutely stomped then I looked at my frame rate... 10fps ...not happy
well... whata tr....sh do you have ??? my 3 years old pc with only new video have 50- 55 fps all the time. on ultra settings.
i have Phenom II x4 and gtx 650ti...new update dropped my fps for about 20-30%...on normal settings had 40-50fps now barely 30-40fps
Just a quick troubleshooting. Low FPS in most cases means not enough RAM (You can check this in the Manager) If so you have 2 options: a) Wait for SoE to fix the performance (especially after the valk patch) although this may never happen b) Buy more RAM (2 more GB means A LOT in terms of performance). That's the option I choose cuz I've been thinking about upgrading my PC for quite a long time.
I have a 4790k, 780ti and an SSD with WIn7 and I get crappy performance for the equipment that I have. It seems to get a bit better if I turn off "turbo" or any overclocking for that matter.
overclocking can be tricky, if you get it wrong you can actually slow your computer down and make more bottlenecks that you might not necessarily see on other games that arent as demanding on your CPU/RAM Are any of your cores listed as parked? I was having issues with that before as well. I also found tuning on my event timer in my bios made hitching less pronounced, but YMMV.
Ok, I think it was the Game causing this to happen to me before for the update: It would get what seemed to me as Amazing frame rate but the frame rate that showed up on my PC was crazy!! EX:40,34,50,43,48,32,45,31,48,54,^v^v^vV^V^V^V^V^V^^ For the most part on my end it was AMAZING no matter how BIG of the battle it got even an 96vs96 it was still great FPS, well to me ask least, but the FPS kept jumping^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^v^V,45,60,52,30,20,48,35. But after the update back to the usual normal fps, surprised me because i thought this was a fix for lower end PC because alot of more powerful PC Gmaers did not know anything changed AT ALL! This was either a very great bug or something.
