What is your favourite assault rifle, and why? (All factions!)

It needs something, to be sure! Mind you I'd say the same of most VS assault rifles. Except Terminus. That's in a pretty good spot.

But yeah Corvus is still fun.

My favorite Assault Rifle is the NS-11A, it's super accurate (also I like NS scopes better).

Really? I'm horrible with it. Although I don't have any attachments for it, like compensator or forward grip

I have a specific loadout for it. Nanoweave and the shield regen device (both maxed). It's unlikely they are going to be able to get many headshots at range so the Nanoweave won't be bypassed and combined with the constantly regenerating shield you can tank quite a bit of damage.

Of course if anyone gets close you are basically dead but I rather like it.

Even better with the new Auxiliary Shield (although you can't heal yourself)

As a medic, I mainly play with SMG for short range or BR for long range, so no AR here.

You have plenty other way to heal yourself.
Triage on a flash
Bio lab bonus if you defend a base.
Regen implant

Personally the worst part about aurxiliary shield is I lose my C4.

Interesting - have you tried H-V45 with advanced laser sight (guessing you play Vanu by your avatar)? The stock hipfire CoF is only a shade wider than an SMG, plus will have superior damage output and better effective range than any SMG. You also still get the 0.75 ADS speed. Not trying to dictate how you play at all, just a thought.

And yeah, +1 for NS-11A love. I find the aesthetic of NS weapons especially dull, but dang that thing is so easy to handle!

TR: TRV used to be my favorite. But im starting to like the Cycler-S with Grip+Comp+HVA at medium range.
NC: Reaper or Tross. (Cant decide)
VS: Corvus. (I know it technically sucks, but i like it for some reason)

I did a lot (HV45 is the weapon with the most kill on my char. But now I've almost stopped using it.
SMG main advantage isn't the tight CoF, it's the 0.05 CoF bloom while ADS.

Equinox VE2 with underbarrel smoke launcher and TS/NS sight...u can do magic with this combo

Indeed. Remember the SABR is getting accuracy/CoF changes, which I'm certainly not complaining about. However damage ranges look to be getting changed pretty drastically.

When I get really pissed off, I draw my Reaper. Everyone with a wrong skin is then pretty much a goner, if I manage to spot them on time (except maxes, of course). But that usually also means we as a squad/platoon/outfit already f*d the things up and there is not much to loose.
