What is Planetside's main player demographic

Our group ages are 20 to 55. I'm 50 and not the old man

28 currently.

Although i'm 33 i know many 16 year olds who play this game......So i don't know if we have a valid demographic.....Although i'd say 17-30 mostly.

Too many pre-teens and young teens, that's for sure.
SOE should disable chat and voice until a player puts a credit card on their account with THEIR name on it.

When it comes to situational awareness and knowing all the mechanics? yes, it does. Otherwise you're likely one of the people being farmed.

the demographic is "too old to still be playing videogames and ashamed of it." at least for the PS1-and-earlier group like us.

I think I belong to the excessive procrastination demographic....

why would you be to old to play games ? maybe one day you be to old to party or do drugs because its a drain on your wellbeing... but video games ?! huh ?

Are people really still ashamed of videogames? Funny thing is that there's been studies that support the theory that it can help slow down mental decay and relieve stress. That's definitely not bad for adults, considering. Especially for the elderly, since it doesn't require great physical stamina.

the way this game tends to focus on the lowest common denominators id say the demographic is 15 - 25 although the devs should be focusing on the 25+ demographic as they tend to have more money to spend then students.

That's the great thing about Tech Demo PC games: far less annoying kids.

I did not think of that! most Kids have short attention spans So it is unlikely that many stay for to long. So the demographic must be 18-30's (im 18 BTW)

Considering how much everything costs in this game ... you got to be a working man to handle it !

No hate towards the younger kids, especially since a lot of the ones that stay for longer than a month tend to be more mature. It's just how the majority of them seem to prefer things that are easier going and "new".
