Or for that matter who killed you? I miss having chats with someone I just had a good fight with. For the life of me I can't find any place that shows your kills or deaths and who killed who in the UI any more. Can't even use /who. I use it not only to talk to enemies but to send a /tell and apologise if I accidental kill a friendly.
I definitively agree. There are time's when I've wanted to give props to an opponent, but can't because I didnt scribble his name down when It came up in the death screen.
They fixed an issue where it made it too easy to report hackers. Was clogging up their CS guys ticket box.
This must be an intermittent problem, i.e. a bug, because I've seen both messages on Woodman tonight.
If it was a mistake im sure they would have put it back by now. Im interested in knowing who at SOE thought it was a good idea to remove this.
I do tell pilots that have no skill and resort to ramming to get a kill. Funny thing is that odds are I have no timer to get another scythe as my timer cert is at level 9. I also send tells to friendly pilots that are idiots.
It's a bug. A bug that appears to happen when you're in an outfit. in an outfit = No Kill feed Lone wolf = Kill feed.
I don't know about everyone else, but I'm immensely happy that this person decided to start a new thread rather than waste precious time searching the forum for any of the several dozen other threads about this exact same topic.
Not true. None of my three characters are in an outfit, but my NC character wasn't receiving these messages for a while. I just finished playing that character and he was receiving the messages. It's either a stealth fix in the latest hotfix, or it's somewhat random.
It's not a hotfix, it's a bug. And I said it appears to be the cause, not it is the cause as other people have reported the same issue where their Outfit characters can not see a kill feed, but their non-outfit characters can.
I meant that "not seeing the messages before; seeing them now" on my NC character might be the result of the latest hotfix.
