What are your worst experiences w/the game so far?

    Running to the terminal to switch to HA in order to take down an ESF only to find the Striker is totally broken and fires blanks and subsequently get killed in less than a second because I forgot the suit slot is totally broken and I don't have any damage mitigation.

    TL;DR game is bugged to hell and no-one cares.

    Touch anything with an aircraft: flip and explode.

    Touch a doorway with a magrider: vibrate into the building and explode.

    Go from 60fps to 2fps and crash to desktop for no apparent reason.

    Downloading GB of patches that ruin the game.

    Having paid money.

    It isn't fun watching outfits die and the Quality of player dropping like a brick into a bottomless ravine.

    The harsh realization after capping the same base for the fifth time in the same night that this is all there is, rewarded only with the ability to do it all over again with slightly higher efficiency.

    Problem is when every damn HA was carrying a annie, you had a 5 sec "grace period" (flares) followed by 20-35sec "cooldown where you would just have to stay away from the enemy. Not to mention the "annie parties" where +6 HA would stack and completely lock down airspace around them (we still have those btw). If they stacked on top of some rocks with beacons and squad deploy there was no effetrive way to take them out.

    Oh please, you're not the representative for your faction. In player behavior, all factions seems about equal.

    1. walking out the spawn room and getting insta-killed by the debris from an exploded esf.
    2. suddenly being blown up by a random tank while being way inside friendly terretory.

    The constant buffs & nerfs and inconsistent changes plus old bugs, new bugs and the length of time between these.

    1) terrible hit reg
    2) random FPS drops
    3) lol pods
    4) buying a weapon then two weeks later a better version of the same weapon comes out
    5) everything that I think should get nerfed gets buffed and everything I think should get a buff gets a nerf
    6) SOE changing stuff that does not need changing, when they should be spending the time optimizing their game

    Honestly everything I can think of involves somebody on my own team killing me.

    I've had people run up to me as I'm hacking a terminal, arming a generator, etc, and literally kill me so they can get the points instead. It drives me crazy. One guy actually pulled this twice on me in a matter of days. As much as it irked me, I found it kind of funny that the SAME guy happened to find me a second time. Even more interesting, his BR is something like 69. (Makes me wonder just how often he pulls this.)

    Also people in vehicles seem to lose all respect for other players the second tires hit dirt. I do my best to get out of the way whenever there's a vehicle. But I can't count the number of times I've been the only person in a very open area, I see some tank or whatever on the mini-map, I watch him slowly line up with me... And before I know it, he's caught up to me, and killed me.

    The crazy thing about all this though.. I like the fact that this is possible. I feel like this game wouldn't be as fun if people could just spam their weapons wherever they wanted.

    Out of all the nonsense in this game, this annoys me the most:

    -Shooting at an enemy
    -Ally walks derps in front of you, DOESN'T SHOOT AT THE GUY YOU'RE SHOOTING AT
    -You stop shooting for no friendly fire
    -The original enemy you were shooting at kills the guy in front of you, and then kills you

    3. Buying something (with SC or certs), then having a patch(s) that chages the item enough that I never would have purchased it in the first place.

    1. Hit registration. Tired of emptying two dozen rounds into a target, dying, and not even their shields are drained. Planetside 1 was designed for dial-up and it handled this $#!% better and far more reliably.

    2. Laggers. I can't count the number of times I've been killed after ducking behind cover/rounding a corner. I can't count the number of times I've heard maybe two gunshots yet have apparently absorbed half a magazine. Hell, sometimes a knee jerk movement doesn't seem to throw their aim off at all like I'm not even changing directions or moving on their end, but that might be because of...

    3. Aim botters. The subtle kind that isn't so obvious by going for body shots. I'm sure this group is far more numerous than we're lead to believe.

    4. Crappy base design. Amp stations only need two openings in their walls: the gates. Tech plants NEED walls. Bio-labs need walls to form their courtyard. Outposts and Towers need walls. EVERYTHING NEEDS WALLS. ...And an attrition system of some kind.

    5. ****ing C4, or rather, no one bothering to repair the sunderer after it's been hit by the LA salvo, though it seems their two sticks of C4 drop a sundy entirely where as mine don't. Aggravating.

    6. One shot wonders that shouldn't:
    • Mines.
    • Sniper Rifles.
    • Shotguns.
    • Dumb-fire Rockets.
    • AV MANA rockets.
    These are NOT fun to counter-play with. You simply die. Their counters are practically required, if they even have any, they don't simply improve your resilience to them. Snipers are the sole reason this game doesn't play like a tactical shooter when it very well should: standing still = instant death. There's a reason PS1 did not allow one shot kills with bolt drivers. No one could properly man the walls of a base then if they did, and they certainly can't properly man them now, it's a death sentence. Grenades are fine, everyone gets one, and their kill radius is only huge when your allies are mobbing all over them like they're Easter Eggs loaded with candy and p**n.

    On the note of manning the walls, why is nearly every Amp station seemingly claustrophobically surrounded by steep hills and mountains?

    7. Idiot team mates. As a Mattherson TR, it amazes me we ever win an alert. The number of fronts we open up only to manage to be outnumbered on every single freakin' one is asinine to the nth degree. The cont pops can scream 33/33/33 and STILL we manage to have fewer people at every single bloody conflict over a territory. How!? Also, next time I see a hostile running up to our sundy and NO ONE reacts, I'm tossing a grenade and gunning the lot of you down to get to him. Sundy surviving > you drooling all over the ground for another 2.3 seconds.

    Can't wait for the lattice. Should hopefully keep the TR forces together at least. Bah, what the hell keeps me tied to this empire? NC guns are so fun to use, and their players at least seem to have their heads on right (or have them at all.) VS are better too, though I've seen lone NC tear through their ranks as well.
