    1. ) Auraxis Firearms Corp. - The bridge approach, the base size, the position on a plateau, the placement of the vehicle and air vehicle spawns, the presence of accessable rooftops for AA work, plus an infantry terminal in the same building make it possible to set up efficient defenses without resorting to dumb walls that hurt defenders more than they are of use. This base is super fun to fight over, it mostly suffers from the fact that without Lattice, Amerish only sees combat during alerts.
    2. ) The Bastion - This base would be a super vital chokepoint if it was not for the hex system allowing to circumvent it with great ease. Still, when there is fighting on Amerish, The Bastion often sees a good share of it, and it is a lot of fun to fight over.

I sincerely hope that both bases will survive the Amerish rework without changes, and will be vital key points in the lattice link network that you will have to take in order to advance, and can not easily go around and ignore, promoting more fights there.

There are certainly some more bases on Amerish that i really like, it generally features a lot of bases that are well integrated into the landscape, that make sense in their design and that are a lot of fun to fight over.

    3. ) Crimson Bluff Tower - Indar also has some nice bases, and this is probably my favorite. Fights there are intense, and it is the central point of interest between Rashnu and MAO, meaning it will see combat quite often. Lots of natural cover around it, good distances between control points. And the best part is that it is surrounded by other bases that are also mostly fun to fight over.

In terms of areas to fight over, i prefere Amerish > SouthEast Indar > North Indar > SouthWest Indar > Esamir.

Camp Connery and Camp Waterson used to be awesome fights when you still had to take an entire continent for a successful capture. With the 75% change and the Lattice, fights going north mostly stop at Saurva / MAO, because going further is not worth the efford.

Likewise, bases like The Ascend and Scarred Mesa Skydock lost their potential for absolutely epic last stands in a continent defense. 75% means they simply get ignored if someone is dug in deep. Those were some of the best moments i ever had in Planetside 2, and they simply do not happen anymore, the next closest thing is the defense of a facility in an facility type alert.

And some really nice mountain top bases near the SouthEast Indar warpgate got killed off with the introduction of the Lattice, which is sad. Red Ridge survived, and is certainly deserving a honourable mention.

Esamir has some bases with potential, my biggest issue is that with the current walled setup, they all feel pretty much the same.

    1. Splitpeak Pass
    2. Crimson Bluff Tower
    3. Northpoint Station

    Off topic, but related opinions:

In general, my favorite bases are on Amerish. Its my favorite continent, I just play there rarely because as a TR on Connery if you don't show up with a platoon or 2 of friends, you will just be pushed around by either NC or VS who have decided to cap the cont.

I love attacking some bases but hate to defend them, and vice versa. However, for general enjoyment and memorable moments I'd say:

    1) Saerro Listening Post
    2) Freyr Amp
    3) Vanu Archives
  16. Doom721

    My top three bases/outposts:
    1. Any Tech Plant
    2. Tawrich Recycling ( Yay hidden entrance! )
    3. Terran BL-4 Crash Site
  17. TheRealBea

    My top three bases/outposts:
    1. Pale Canyon Chemical
    2. Mekala Tech Plant
    3. Geological Survey Camp
  18. Wezdor

My top three bases/outposts: (these will be listed for TANK battles, as i mostly do those)
    1. Allatum botany wing
    2. The Crown
    3. Nott research camp
  19. Nathaniak

    Top Three Bases
    1. Vanu Archives. The back-and-forth here, with the jump pads, the teleporter, the MAX crashes and, most importantly, the fact that it's difficult to take when it's defended make this my favourite base by far.
    2. Xenotech Labs - the best place for fights between bases. Fighting from here to Peris is amazing.
    3. The Stronghold - although this base is actually somewhat too easy to take, it's my favourite base visually. It actually looks like a military facility, as opposed to a random collection of buildings. Now, if only it weren't so easy to camp the spawnroom...

    Favourite Lost Bases
    1. The beta tech plants (thanks to Metalsheep) - with the shield gen inside, and the zerg pouring in from the back, these were my favourite bases. Plus, they actually gave Gal-drops and shield diffusers a use.
    2. Beta Zurvan Amp Station - back when the order the shields failed in was reversed. After blowing the outer shields, the attackers would have to rush through the tiny entrance on the other side of the building, then blow another generator to break though to the vehicle bays and the SCU. Fun times...
