They seem to be sending something down (ripples). They're color change depending on which faction you play on, but otherwise have no explanation and seem to just be targeted at random, odd places around Auraxis.
Looks like Squad spawn beacons, there's a small cannister at the base of them that you need to shoot to destroy the enemy ones. Or you can use an emp grenade. Seems like many people have no idea what they are and just assume they are waypoint markers etc... If you don't destroy the enemy ones, memebers of the squad who placed them can spawn at that location via a drop pod from the sky.
Yeah, those blue light beams are definitely coming from Spawn Beacons. If you zoom in on that screenshot closely enough, you can actually see that one of the beacons is from the squad of the screenshotter; it's showing up as a green icon on their minimap, just below the blurry capture point letter.
It is the yellow light (screenshot center) I was referring too - the light beam not the laser beacons.
The yellow light is the Mission marker. It's supposed to guide new players to the next objective. You can turn them of in the gameplay options.
