What are the best anti-max classes/strategies?

    Light Assault with C4.You'll usually get both the MAX and the engineer that's most likely hanging around it.A personal record of mine would be 3 MAXes and 2 engineers with a single C4. :p
    Or,you know,rockets/bullets and stuff.

    Getting close with C4. LAs are the best at this, but other classes can do it too.
    Decimator hit, followed by shooting (at least 75-round guns or more). The stock dumbfire can also do this, but it'll take more bullets and time.

    If he sees you first, you'll probably die before he does.

    I have better luck with my engineer, anti-infantry mines plus the auto shotgun has killed more MAXs for me. I try to bomb them with the mine but if that fails a auto shotty point blank will take them down fast.

    Concussion grenades, decimator and C4 on heavy assault. 'Nuff said. Especially if you get grenade bandoleer they don't stand much of a chance.

    Seems like for most maxes or when I'm in mine..just send wave after wave of guys with their default guns. Oh PS1 maxes how I miss thee.

    Shotgun is quite effective though close quarters and C4 is the bane of everything.

    HA Rocket Launcher is best answer to MAX threat. Rocket Launcher cut of 60% of MAX health in single click without any resources cost and can make it from some distance. 1 HA rocket make MAX run to cover and 2 HA working together instantly destroy MAX, sometimes loosing one HA in exchange.

    If you stumble across a max crash and your not prepared: Throw whatever grenade you have and don't shoot the maxes, aim for the supporting engies/ medics! You will be dead in a couple of seconds so don't waste bullets on what you can't kill.

    LA C4, you can always use the flash bang if they are camping in a small room.

    Flak do nothing to direct damage of HA rockets. I wear Flak 5 on my MAX and direct hit from standard RL cut my health to ~40% instantly. Just check yourself.

    Nah trolling aside, in most cases, where it is open LA + C4.

    Anything else depends on terrain and how the max'es use them. In some situations, you will be in for the long haul. and need to grind them down slowly with your own max's, and heavies with rockets.

    EDIT: Any entrenched defence won't be easily overcome.

    -LA's with C-4 are the bane of my existence unless I have my hacksaw's out, then its 50/50 whether I win.
    -HA's with rockets, AV grenades, or any other types of explosives hurt since I use nanites.

    Pretty much any type of explosives, but that may not be as big an issue to a flak user.

    Other than that, getting focused on. Plenty of ways to die in a Max suit.

    Anti-MAX:
    Heavy Assault
    EM6 with compensator, extended mags, 1x scope
    Decimator
    AV Grenade
    Standard shield
    2 bricks of C4


    If you can get close, start with the AV grenade. Then toss the C4 and switch to your launcher. Hit the MAX when they're close enough to your C4 for the rocket to hit both. Aim for the MAXs feet or the C4, not the MAX itself.

    If you can't get close, use up your rockets and AV grenade first. Try to knock it's health down and possibly take out any engineers/medics. Then try to flank the MAX and get to where you can dump the whole 200 rounds into the MAX without them being able to fire back. Use your shield to try and finish the MAX in one shot.

    Use any and all kinds of explosives to take them out immediately. Tank mines, AI mines, C4, rocket launchers, frag grenades, AV grenades, sticky grenades, UB grenade launchers, MANA AV turrets, MAX AV weapons... if it goes boom, use it.

    In situations where explosives may be too dangerous or unavailable, the only other option is to use a gun. The ideal guns to use are either LMGs for their ability to lay down consistent damage with their large magazines or weapons capable of doing strong burst damage in a short amount of time. Shotguns can put a significant dent into a MAX usually faster than they can retaliate. The Commissioner revolver is also an effective burst damage weapon since it fires very hard hitting bullets at a modest rate of fire.

    The gun I prefer to use against a MAX is my MCG due to the high rate of fire combined with its gigantic magazine. It fulfills the same role an LMG would at a much faster an longer amount of time. There's enough bullets in the MCG to take out the MAX, the Engineer repairing it, and the Medic healing the Engineer in one magazine. Unless I die first, it is guaranteed that I will kill that MAX or at the very least do critical damage to it in a short amount of time.

    Shotguns are useless in this game as the spray is kinda odd and terribly weak unless your in punching range.

    I laid down several rounds on a MAX using the Claw but 2 close up shots only took 10% of it's hp?
