Just wanting to know how much peoples FPS has increased. Mine has jumped from 22 to a steady 50 FPS. Its great. What are you guys getting?
  2. ajma

60 with almost empty server. Last time I tried a 48v48, it was 30.
  3. Tim Bovard

30 during larger fights, 45-55 when alone.
  4. Fredfred

    120-130 WG.
75-120 in small - medium fight. I am eager to test in a larger fight in a larger facility.

    Overall I can't really tell.
While I get more fps mostly, I also get lower fps sometimes, I don't know if it's tied to lag, as the game feels really laggy in those moments. Lower fps are in situations like biolabs and the crown, but not always, only when really crowded. The game is GPU bound at that time, before (on live) it was almost always CPU bound.

I had 80-120 while flying/WG but they went down to 30 during a really crowded biolab fight

I never went down to 30 before, 35-40 was usually the minimum!

    15 20 ultra
    25 30 low
    40 50 when alone
    all huge battles.

Until we get a built-in benchmark, all those numbers are so badly comparable, too many random variables. Thankfully the devs stated that a PS2 benchmark might come in a future OMFG update.

hopefully it has a couple standard tests (ie; 3 settings: minimum, medium, extreme, with a fixed resolution), so a database of OS/CPU/GPU/RAM combinations can be created

My FPS hasn't really increased, but I'm GPU-bound often (Yeah, I play on a laptop). I haven't tested during a large fight yet, so I'll see if I get better frames in those as they're the situations I'd get CPU-bound more often.

Generally though my FPS is more stable, I'm not seeing it constantly flicker in a ~5-10 fps range anymore while I'm GPU-bound, and I've seen an increase in FPS from the mid 60s to low 70s while staring at the sky (v important). Other than that, still **** fps throughout SE Indar, still laggy fps flying around Zurvan and anywhere in view of SE Indar, can't really blame anything other than my ****** laptop GPU for that though.

I dunno if flying gets me worse fps though on PTS, felt a bit dodgy while I was fighting at zurvan but that might just be because, y'know, **** zurvan.

I have done some tests comparing PTS (10/29 update) and live server while trying to do similar things on both servers following the same route, on both servers almost no pop at the time of the tests.

My CPU is a Intel Haswell I5 4670K at 4.2 GHz, 16 GB ram and a GTX 660 2GB (331.58 whql), using Win7 x64. For each test I have captured FPS for 180 seconds with Fraps.

1920x1080, all settings on high/ ultra; shadows medium; PhysX, motion blur & fog shadows off; render distance 4000.

Generally I have following average FPS on live server:
open areas - average 80-100 FPS
facility areas - average 50-70 FPS
fights with 12-48 on both sides - average 45-60 FPS
big fights 48+ on both sides - average 35-45 FPS

    1. On Amerish, starting on WG, flying with a Mosquito from one to another WG, then turning around, flying to a tech plant, jumping out and run to point A
Compared to live, I have a small increase on about 5 FPS average.

    2. On Indar, starting on WG, flying to The Crown in a Lib, crashed the Lib, redeployed to WG and running around in the WG
Compared to live, I have an increase on about 10 FPS average.

    3. On Indar, starting on WG, driving with a Harasser to Howling Pass Checkpoint
Compared to live, I have a small increase on about 3 FPS average.

    4. In VR-Training, running around and shooting/ knifing enemys, throw a grenade, destroying a flash with carbine
Compared to live, I have a small increase on about 3 FPS average.

So for me, I don't see that much of an increase from the OMGF, I may have some higher frames here and there, maybe now I'm a bit more GPU- instead of CPU bound. Yet I have to really compare a similar large fight on both PTS and live server.

Some days ago, I had the chance to participate in a bigger fight at Allatum Bio Lab on the PTS, but here also I did not get the feeling that something noticeable has changed for me, while I have to admit I neither have any performance problems on the live server since I have upgraded my machine.

All in all, it is almost impossible to compare PTS and live server, so we really could need an in-game benchmark tool.
  10. gzero

30 fps in large biolab fight, and around 40-55 fps elsewhere.
  11. Targanwolf

Playing on regular server 35 with almost all low settings
Playing on test server 25 with default medium settings.Game sure looks a lot better on higher settings.
  12. Airazor

i3, 4 gig ram, Laptop, ATI HD 5650

    I get 10-16 fps at a 25-48vs25-48 bio lab

My frames jump from 60fps at indar WG to 20fps just standing there. On ground away from any fights I get about 30-40fps. So really all over the map on my end

PS: Laptop= not ment to play this game with.
  13. AdmiralArcher

i have an i5 3317u laptop core with intel 4k graphics and 4 gigs of ram windows 8.1 64bit, and razer game booster, i get 30fps constant most of the time even in big battles, i only have troubles in biolabs and on amerish, but i do get these odd freezes, its like someone is pushing pause and play every minute and a half when im in big battles, opening terminals takes a little bit and aiming in a tank is virtually impossible, even on test server its not much different, but im getting 8 gigs of ram for christmas so that should help, and yes i play on very low graphics
  14. Crackulous

15-30. I run the lowest settings possible, but that's because my computer is a bit old.
  15. Ash87

40-60 in battles and while alone

This isn't an improvement when I am alone, when in fights it's probably a 20 FPS improvement.

Nothing major, but the one thing the patch has done is made my FPS more consistent. Any given second on live my FPS will fluctuate +/- 10. That never happens on PTS now.
  16. MrPootisBrights

17-22FPS on Medium/Low settings. VERY dissapointed if this is the case with the actual release.

    5800K @ 4.1GHz
    8GB DDR3 @ 1866MHz
    Windows 7 64 bit
    7660D @ 950MHz
  17. Pingonaut

    Intel Core i7
Nvidia GT 540M (Laptop, GPU bound)
    Windows 7

I seem to be getting worse FPS, somehow. It may be inconsistent settings to Live, but:
Live: 27-40, no lower than 25 on a large fight
PTS: 20-29, normally in a Biolab fight. That's a small fight.

    Not sure how that happened.
  18. MajiinBuu

I can't tell if my fps is any different. It is higher, but that could be because there's 10 people on the continent.
I get about 5 fps on medium, almost 20 on very low.
  19. MrMuffinz

About 32-45 fps at Low graphics and everything else medium.
Render is 100, resolution is 1600x900, and view distance is 1000.

I'd say the patch was successful.
Can't wait for the rest of the improvements to ship in.
Also can't wait to see what Phase 2 yields in performance terms.

And like Cougarbrit, my game is using more GPU than CPU.
In-fact, i've rarely seen it swap over to higher CPU usage.
Which is good since my CPU is somewhat bottlenecking my GPU.

Hopefully the rest of the improvements will make enough difference so i can go back to Medium Graphics without having 25-31 fps.
  20. doombro

My overall frames have improved a good deal.

However, there's this constant, quick stuttering that just won't go away regardless of my settings. It's mostly noticable when I'm sprinting.
