Were Claymores changed or something?

now that the claymores lasers are less visible they (re)implant the bug that make mines disappear when you are away :D

    so still no kills

The thing is the lights didn't make the mines more visible. They were a completely useless addition since they did nothing for visibility in the game. You see a blue disc or a purple spider long before the lights and if you are close enough to see the lights, you're dead or you already saw the mine long before.

I have two Claymores on both my engineer and infiltrator. They have their uses and I get a kill every now and then. I don't use them that often because I tend to forget about them and I don't play engineer or infiltrator that often. But I have gotten some pretty nice kills when planting them near cap points or generators. Most of the time, nothing happens but every now and then you get an engineer not paying attention when he wants to repair a broken generator.

Maybe for you. They are second only to my rifle on my kill list. Often times I can the same guy multiple times because they just don't learn.

I just pizza dropped 2 Bouncing Bettys then tossed a frag grenade. Got about 15 kills. Someone please tell me they did something similar with claymores. The most kills you get with mines are either pizza drops or suicide runs, not carefully placed mines. The game rewards a "YOLO SWAG" playstyle more than tactical/strategical moves because infantry death means nothing were you can get insta rezzed or have a 10-15 second "cooldown" to respawn. People know it and abuse it to cert hunt/farm. Sad but true...

Wish there were more of those. :D

Agreed, this is one of the problems I've seen with the game. There really is no incentive to stay alive for the most part, especially as an infantry player - and it seems to reward a playstyle where you are encouraged to throw yourself headlong into the enemy with little though as long as it results in a kill at least some of the time. Enter auto-shotty + pizza delivery attacks with zero finesse. The rules of the game actually dictate that this is the "smart" and logical way to play the game - bu it sure would be nice if you were rewarded some for staying alive too.

Hmm.... I spot them much better since they were added, dunno why you wouldn't.
