Ok I just did this for fun, and with a VS LA I went 15-3 vrs tr and nc just now.

I took a screen shot which annoying took a screen shot of my desktop so take my word or not. It really felt slightly better than my TR LA except for one thing. My TR has a lynx (SC weapon), with an advanced laser sight and 1x reflex scope, and suit upgrades. My VS has only the basic out of the box LA weapon and no certs spent on anything. It was definitely better at mid range.

Honestly if it weren't for the fact that I like my TR outfit I'd spend a couple of bucks on the guns and roll VS.

Edit: Took a spin in a magrider too, shot down a reaver with the main gun but that was a bad pilot. Anyways its about 300% easier to control than a prowler. To be fair that thing should have a popgun compared to the NC and TR MBTs.

Edit Edit: Forgot to mention the faster reload time on the VS weapons was rather nice too.

Nothing wrong with the NC on Woodman EU.
Maybe they are just better than everyone else. Over the double xp weekend they had 2 continents and on monday night they took the 3rd.
If any NC weapon gets a buff it will totally break this server.

Same boat as you OP, but worse.

I deleted my NC character on Miller, which had $80 worth of SC on it, so i could create a TR on Miller. All other servers are dead all the time, so i didn't really see any other option .

I'm just hoping that they add something in the future that allows me to remake an NC, and still have all my purchases. As they are my favourite faction, and i'd like to play them once they're balanced.

Actually, NC do not excel at short range either. Their 'high damage' is immediately cancelled by their lower ROF. All factions are mostly equal in CQC/Short range.

Continent ownership means nothing. It is impossible to take a continent with a fair % of players online.

NC wins continents overnight because NC seems to have a LOT of hardcore gamers, that stay up all night and win continents because there is no competition. Happens every night.

The funny part is that some of the guns penalize you if you burst fire.

Was using the default VS Medic gun with a grip and I was trying to burst fire guys from 100m out for some reasons. Kicks straight up in 3-4 shots and off the target.

After awhile I remembered "Oh yeah, there's very little recoil after those first few shots" and proceeded to full auto people from range far more easily than trying to burst fire. Totally not backwards logic or anything.

But hey, the NC's default LA gun (Mercenary) sounds way more satisfying to fire and reload, so there's that.

Fun Fact;
NC's default LA gun is their only good carbine, and actually competes okay with TR/VS. However, all other carbines have 2x the COF, and are awful at range.

To put it simply, Vanu is easy mode for bad players. That's right, I said it.

This isnt overnight. This is prime time evening and NC put up a stiff defence if you try and take one back.

I'd hardly say that.... It's just more for inexperienced players who are used to other more-direct bullet physics out there that don't over-do the whole recoil-spread mechanic. Typically in those games (like Quake & Unreal Tourneys) the bullets just plain go where you shoot them but the Target is also moving a lot faster. Or like in Tribes which is another one of those very fast high skill-ceiling games... your target is skiing @ 200kmh or you're trying to "Mid-Air" him with tiny discs like a roaming Comp Solly juggling an overhealed pocket with airshots.

...that crazy a** Magrider on the other hand....

Okay maybe this is a dumb question, but if they're so hardcore, why do they tend to lose more 1v1's than they win??

Ping isnt the end all in a client side game guys.
150 ping isnt a huge issue.

They could balance NC if they wanted, but they are more focus on having the differences even despite the game being head stream 0 recoil 0 cof game...

I dont think you will ever see people that do better with the SAW than other weapons because of the COF.
Its a head stream fire game... Increased COF = you lose vs one equally good,but with a weapon with less COF, recoil etc.

Wrong again! Sure they may be holding one, after they capture it. But they did not capture it when there was 33% 33% 33% population spread, i assure you, as it is impossible. Think about it. To do that you'd have half the NC fighting twice as many VS and the other half fighting twice as many TR. It's not going to happen, ever.

Translation: more terrible players looking for more excuses as to why they are terrible. I seriously thought BF3 was the apex of terrible player whining, and then PS2 came along and took it to a whole new level.

We only recently improved. Don't know what it was, but up until double XP the NC on Woodman were ******* ridiculous.
That said - having just gotten off Woodman for the night - we only make serious gains when it gets to very very very late at night. Up to that point it's swapping between beatings from TR and VS and regularly both.

I can't wait for our weapons to be (fairly) buffed up to standard of TR and VS. The Boxer with 2 pound weight analogy works pretty well. People will think we're ******* OP as hell because we've been working with ****** weapons and all of a sudden we get better ones.

I wouldn't have it any other way than the NC. It's not just our stats that pull me in. I see the NC as a young, prosperous and ambitious faction. Kind of like the Terran from Starcraft 2, we're hardy, tough and cowboyish. I just can't get enough of our color scheme too.

But I also love our equipment even if it isn't up to par with everyone else. Vanu weapons just remind me too much of lasertag or toy-like laser guns. There's nothing quite as satisfying as firing an NC weapon - so long as you can use it correctly. Feels like you're using a weapon with some actual oomph to it.

Another thing that drives me to play NC is that the TR sound like absolute ******* when they're shot. Play NC, your guy doesn't sound like a kid. You sound more like a gritty tough as nails bastard.

Did I forget to mention purple spandex? I swear, some of you Vanu look like clowns. I mean, the default look is okay I suppose, but I see some of you guys with some seriously ******** looking camo, like the light green one.

Has nothing to do with being a terrible player. It has to do with the reality of the game. If it isn't as bad as people make out, than why are people switching factions in droves to play Vanu?

They believe the hype and are terrible players.
