    What annoys me is that it seems like the missile automatically hits sometimes, even if you seemingly broke all available paths for it to take and you never see the missile. Feels like I'm just taking magical damage because I was locked onto for long enough. Could be just the missiles not rendering though I guess.

    The skill is in LOS'ing them. On the ground anyways.
    possible, there's the odd times I get some mysterious ones I can figure out but I always assumed it was someone up on a mountain somewheres.

    I want a lockon rocket launcher that launches a warhead which bursts into several smaller warheads which in turn lock onto people using lock on launchers that lock on to people using lock on launchers firing missiles that lock on to other lock on missiles. Oh and the small warheads need to cause c4 sized explosions.

    Good thing my launcher isn't the type of launcher you're targeting. I have to admit, though, that this thread is starting to get confusing.:)

    This is available but might get you banned LOL!

    4 Annihilator missiles will not take out a sundy.... No clue how many to take out an ESF or a LiB but less than I can carry, Gal why bother unless really damaged.

    Plenty of good drivers and pilots can avoid them. They don't wait around for the green light launch.

    I want a lock on threads about lockons. No ? I wouldn't mind a lock on my tank. Just yesterday I got sniped repairing, whilst running back I see some random dude jump in my tank and bugger off. Can people do this? Some kind of bug/exploit or something maybe... Lols were had, then I tracked him down in a mossy and podded that ****.

    I agree, these lock on missile launchers are getting ridiculous. Every vehicle now REQUIRES you to have flares or smoke attachment.
    What the **** is SOE doing?!

    I wager the OP plays on Mattheron as VS or NC and runs into the The Enclave infantry zergs on a regular basis. That must suck, that is for sure :p

    After seeing a Tomcat draw a triangle with its smoke trail (yup, angle- turned instantly twice to keep up with a fighter that fooled it), I do agree it's badly designed.

    It should have a turn radius a bit larger than a fighter and a field of view no larger than 120-150 deg (thus getting 60-75 degrees off its flight axis breaks the lock) so only gunships and transports will have a hard time avoiding it.

    It is just as valid a weapon as pilots ejecting or deconstructing in mid air though, and a great countermeasure agianst them... :p

    They have those, its called liberators and HE tanks and you dont even need to lock on with them!

    I'd love a lock-on weapon against infantry for my HA. I'm angry they don't lock onto maxes like in PS1.

    But what can kill an HA with a rocket launcher..... ANYTHING. Especially an infiltrator with a sniper rifle (or a knife).

    If this is the degree to which you're whining now, I can only imagine when the Phoenix Wire-Guided missile launcher is brought into the game and you start getting hit by 10 missiles with ZERO LOCKON warnings.

    Next time, join the players and speak up as soon as the whine threads start. We need to show SOE that the players are just as vocal as the special interests.

    Its getting boring. Not as much in the air, because the high mobility still means something.
    But on the ground you now have two sides just launching shells and missiles at eachother across a killing field which no-one can cross. Where is the fun in that?
