Whats your opinion on the default weapon T Cycler? Got some buffs and its doing pretty decent since we have to ADS alot now. As a support weapon i don't want to engage to close combat, leave that for the heavies and maxes

Frankly on my medic i've been running with a shotty or the default since i very seldom actually shoot anything. Just rezing my homies 98% of the time.

T1 Cycler is my bane of existence. Accuracy and RoF is nothing else like any other TR weaponry, and allows for ranged support to CQC advantages.

(I'm assuming that "support weapon" means medium-range combat, in and out of cover)

If you want an effective support weapon, choose one with a medium fire-rate (600-698 RPM) and test your accuracy at range in the VR Training area.

NC Support: Reaper DMR, Carnage AR (in some situations), Standard Gauss Rifle (or S variant)

VS Support: Pulsar VS1 (or Equinox variant), CME, Corvus VA55

TR Support: T1 Cycler (or S variant, SABR-13, TAR (in some situations)

If you don't want to close range, SABR-13 is your best option for mid to long range as a TR medic.
But I suggest to keep a TRV on your arsenal to close range... TRV is excelent at hip fire.

Buffs? Cycler? Where? Did they just ninja-release PU3?

All i suggest pre patch to use now is the T1 cycler why, well it the most accurate out of the lot it recoil is straight up and is predictable no other weapon the medic has behaves so well. TRV for example is a very naughty gun it has 3 recoil patterns so it get very hard to get accuracy out of it with sustand fire, t1 cycler you can use it on Full Auto and it will out perform the TRV at mid range because all the round will land where you want. i was banging my head against the wall using the TRV because it just to random to use it unless there really close you can use it at any range..... BUT IT HARD!!!. usally i get 3-2 kd with the TRV now using the t1 i get 3-8 kd.

Now this is the most important thing with the T1 cycler and why it better then the TRV in all situations, it got predictable recoil it will always go straight up which makes adjusting for it very easy, And that recoil pattern is what makes it shine over all the others, you put the cross hares over a target a 50m aim for the chest the recoil will make the weapon to a nice group in the chest and hit the guy in the head which will take down any thing heavy's included. im insta gibbing targets at all range with this weapon because iv learnt out hit behaves and im not going for chest shots im going for the head and after this patch that what you want because the pay off now is extreme.

plus 750 ROF + 580fps is about the same as all the other factions any way so you not lossing a lot of DPS by using that weapon and i think your gaining a lot more due to the accuracy and the fact heads shots are a lot easier to get with this weapon.

other thing is though i spent at lest $200 and got a gigabyte lazer mouse and also a destructor 2 mouse pad and customized by register files with custom made files to get 1to1 mouse proformance, so iv put a lot of time and research into getting accuracy. which you can't get with stardard equipment with this game or any game i think.

using a cheap crappy mouse with this game is the worst thing you can do because you need to do so much minute adjustments when your firing your weapon you can't do that will a cheap in accurate crapy mouse.

TRV isn't as good for hipfire as the TAR. In fact, the TRV's hipfire is worse than all assault rifles.

i was talking about the T Cycler series, sorry if didn't express my self right :)

    PU2 patch notes
    • T1B Cycler
      • Improving non-moving accuracy and recoil so that the weapon is more accurate both when standing still and while moving when compared to the base Cycler.
        • Aimed COF from 0.1 to 0.06
        • Horizontal recoil from 0.175 to 0.17

Yea the T1 Cycler seems to be the best all roles weapon for the Medic. Good for support in a more serious organized platoon. I usually leave the close range for Heavies and Maxes. You win more by having a good medium-long range weapon than a TAR just for close range.

To farm in bio labs i agree, TAR with laser = farm fest. But i was talking about a more serious approach.

Since you're leaving the close range to other classes, either stick with the default or grab a SABR-13.

I don't have any experience with the T1S, but the T1 and T1B are excellent guns. Definitely worthy of use.
