Because SOE hasn't yet realized that if they let people buy extra fourumside likes with real money they'd get filthy rich.
Umm, with Cali burning down around them, im sure the devs are worried more about their houses, families and that over their game. Just chill out lol. Besides, its masses of the playerbase demanding stuff NAO that leads to bugs and horridly unstable, non functioning patches and content... Id rather see 1 patch every 6 months that was high quality, well tested and worked properly over rapidly deployed bull%(*# that kills the game for 2 weeks after every patch, then leaves traces of BS afterwards for years to come...
You know, besides all that catastrophic fires breaking out, I also like my game when it works. (PROTIP: after a patch it usually doesn't.) So, double nope.
Why now? The update brings nothing desired to the medic. No one is going to trade their HP regen for the shield regen
California is on fire. The devs live in California. They are focused on not burning to death. Their priorities are right.
The devs dont live anywhere near those fires and its only a very very small area that is affected. Besides, I dont care if all of California is on fire, I want to play my video game. NOW.
Actually, SOE's main HQ is in San Diego. I discovered that it's a 10ish minute drive from where I work, which is towards the middle part of San Diego county. The fires are/were mostly concentrated in the area north of it, with some close to homes (there were plenty of evacuations). https://mapsengine.google.com/map/u/0/edit?mid=zwCcp9fuZHOw.k0nyColtCA7s There's dozens of google'able links to see effected areas. The point is, there's a chance some from the company live in or around those areas, so they had every right to prioritize life over virtual reality. They aren't machines that do our bidding and make games; they're people.
Yeah, but if you can keep ur shield up forever, you will never die......the enemy has to kill the shield before they can hit ur health...
