    Then the effect worked =)

I hope there was some interesting footage caught on either streams or through YouTube. It will be interesting to see what the fights looked like from the NC and TR's perspectives.
  3. ({x})Kyoji

I am sure a few people filmed it.
  4. Mikenuge

Here was the action from my outfits perspective. (drev)
We were mainly situated along side the east of Esamir. Terran BL-4 Crash site, East River Sky, Ymir Eastern Way & the Tech Lab towards were all really good fights.

Mainly we bumped into IR, 382 & XoO nearer the end. Good fun !

I am uploading part 1 of our ventures from one of our squads. Given the total length of the action it will probably be in 4-5 parts. I'll post it here when done.

The first part covers Eisa Tech Plant defense and defense of Rime Analytics.
Second part will be Saerro Listening Post, the second Eisa Tech and Rime Analytics defense.
Part three should be Esamir Munitions, Eisa Mountain Pass and Eisa Southern
Fourth Part should be Eisa Tech Plant last stand
The last part will be the ESF showdown.

There may be more or less depending on how much I crop out to make room. The total filming was the full 2 hours and 30 minutes of the event.

The first part is funny because we mention DREV's crash on Eisa near the start as we meet. Oh hai! :)

Hmm, a list of videos? That's a good reason to keep an eye on this thread over the next few days.

    Part 1

This isn't thematic, but more of a real-time display (in order of sequence) of events that took place from XoO's alpha squad perspective

    Part 2 is uploading..

To be clear, I did not say there was a 2 faction alliance. I said you need a 2 faction alliance to take a territory in a 3 way fight with equal numbers.

Seems you are looking for things that are not there. Stop making assumptions.
  10. Paisty

For perspective, I started on Jeagar.

TDM wise, I disagree. Prior to the 75% cont ownership change, we had some really good fights. But that pretty much ended anything other than TDM in PS2, imo.

As far as alerts go, I see them as poorly implemented cattle prods, nothing more.

You said it right there... There is no assumption needed on my part. By your logic, the ONLY way a base being fought over by three different equally populated factions can change hands is, for the two assaulting factions to cut deals with each other. Cutting a deal isn't the same thing as two factions independently attacking a mutually desired territory; especially if they both want the territory for themselves, and especially if that is the name of the event. On top of that, to make such a statement is a massive assumption. In the event, a couple of the bases did change hands. Which means by your logic, that the other two factions "cut deals" with each other. Let's say that NC is overthrown from a base defense, and VS takes the base,, meaning VS and TR "cut deals". If NC managed to take the base back, does that mean NC cut a deal with TR as well? There easily a few combinations that can be argued, but it all comes down to conspiracy theory.

I have been in quite a few equal popped 3-way engagements. One the other night in Allatum Biolab for an alert. It was an extremely long fight, but NC managed to win the Biolab from VS, only holding two of the four flags (each faction had one flag, and the fourth was constantly fluctuating, with us holding it long enough to cap). Now after NC took Allatum, our forces shifted to Rashnu Biolab to defend from a TR push. Allatum was ultimately retaken by VS, and the alert ended in a draw. Strategy and organization can "sometimes" beat numbers, given the right environment. Biolabs are a bit more likely, seeing how for the most part it neutralizes Aircraft and Tanks from the main fighting. In that 3-way Biolab fight at Allatum, I believe it was the Combat Medics that saved it for NC. In the D point room, where I was one of a few CMs on call; no NC in that room stayed dead for more than 10 seconds, keeping TR and/or VS (not sure who it was, because I wasn't looking out of the doorway) from over-running the point, which almost happened on multiple occassions. There definetely was no deal cutting of any sort going on there. NC wanted the biolab to win the alert, just like TR and VS. It was a Soldier's victory, even then is came down to a draw...

    Part 2

Saerro Listening Post was a pain. We had our alpha squad assaulting B point with bravo attacking C. Bravo managed to grab C near the end of it, but sadly the timer drew to a close and we fell back to another base. Was a lot of fun and the NC was holding it with an iron fist.

    Part 3 is uploading.
  13. Pokebreaker

I took some of the last assault of the night. However, I'm a noob at video capture and editing. So once I figure that out, I will post my perspective.

Like I said your reading things into what I am writing.

    Your an idiot.

I haven't even bothered reading the rest of the wall of text you wrote. I can easily assume it's idiotic ramblings.
  15. Pokebreaker

Don't blame me for your feeble efforts to articulate yourself, and your inability to read an argument counter to yours. Funny how you make some broad statement (which is clearly you assuming there was more going on than there was), and expect everyone to agree with you. Welcome to the real world. Neither yours, nor my point of view is the end-all of any given situation. What, are you used to writing a bunch of garbage, and nobody calling you out? You clearly made statements that were conspiracy theory at best (due to those of us on the ground knowing it to be false), only to justify why you didn't have a good time. Instead of saying, "I don't prefer these types of events, but good on the coordinators for putting it together" and leaving it at that, you chose to write false statements about the occurences of the event.

Go cry somewhere else, and learn to hold a conversation without degrading yourself by resorting to childish name calling. That there is the mark of someone incapable of any further intelligent discussion. Have a nice night, as anything you say past this point holds no weight.
  16. Paisty

I was not making an argument!

It was feedback. You picked one line out of the feedback and assumed I was crying. It is was a feedback statement.

No faction can take a territory in a 3 way fight with even pops, without a deal being cut between 2 of the factions.

You keep assuming I am saying there was deals, I never said that.

Grow the **** up and drop it, you assumed something, you were wrong. Now your crying like a ***** cuz you were wrong.

    Your acting like a child.

You continue to prove my point, and continue to show your lack of ability to even understand your own words. Are you aware of the term "implication"?

In saying "No faction can take a territory in a 3 way fight with even pops, without a deal being cut between 2 of the factions.", YOU are IMPLYING that in the event the aforementioned instance DOES occur; it could have ONLY happened with a deal being made between two of the factions. Rewind to the event night. Your scenario did occur, with a 3-way battle for a territory, and the base DID change hands, BUT without there being any deals cut. It also happened on another occassion which I explained in my wall of statement support text, but you found to difficult to comprehend. Therefore proving your statement to be false, and poorly written.

It would be like saying "Only the most intelligent people in the world choose the NC faction", implying that EVERYONE joining TR/VS are of less intelligence than even the dumbest NC member. Which is hardly a point that can be substantiated. Statements like yours leave absolutely no room for any other possibilities, and degrades/insults those who DON'T fall into your close-minded categories.

You're behavior is pitiful, and your seemingly lacking literacy is even more shameful. You have the world wide web at your disposal, so there is no excuse. Go to Google and learn how to articulate your thoughts to where you don't confuse yourself.
  19. Paisty

You may be the biggest idiot I have encountered on these forums, Congrats!

"You continue to prove my point, and continue to show your lack of ability to even understand your own words."

Really? I do not understand what I was saying?

"Are you aware of the term "implication"?"

What implications? It's a feedback thread, I gave feedback. Why because having 1800 people fighting over 1 base, makees it impossible to take by any single faction without the help either actively or just by not shooting at the 2nd attacking faction.

No where did I imply anything. If I wanted to say something happened, as an adult I would have said something happened. I do not need to imply anything, I say it as I see it.

You want someone to cry that they were ganged up on so you can spew some rhetoric you have been saving for god knows how long.

You picked the wrong person, I never said anything about it.

    Grow up, fool.
  20. Pokebreaker

You make this way too easy, and you clearly don't understand Implication. You didn't say it directly because you were trying to be indirect about how you really felt about it, in hopes you could say it, and nobody would question... I'm starting to feel bad for you now :(

"...1800 people fighting over 1 base, makees it impossible to take by any single faction without the help either actively or just by not shooting at the 2nd attacking faction." I think the problem now is not only your failed realization of your implcation, but also your use of hyperbole. Seeing how single bases were indeed turned over and held, while three factions were fighting over it; proves your argument, yet again, false. It is not impossible, nor does it "require" a formal/informal agreement between two of the factions. It may take longer than you individually prefer, and may require a significant amount of coordination and strategy, but it is very possible. On the same note, giving some credit to you, it is very possible to have situations in which two factions will come to an agreement to team up against another faction. However, that was not the case during the event. Try not comparing everyone else to your standard of play, and your interpretation of impossibilities.

No matter how often you resort to name-calling, you only weaken your own argument, and make yourself look worse than you probably are. Why give people that fire power to discredit you so easily? I could care less about someone feeling they were ganged up on. It's a war game, it happens. However, I do care about folks who write statements, such as the multiple you have, and are clearly just trying to vent, but at the expense of accusations towards others through implication.

I won't tire out. I like these types of exchanges. Continue working on your retort, but try to leave the name calling out of it. I do actually like having a healthy conversation with others.
