VS Medic, wrong decision?

I usually max the self heal and the tool out first. Tool is cheap to upgrade and having it at 75% res health or better is beast in base defenses like tech plants (res farm mode imo). Pandora is my goto weapon. I switch classes fairly often depending on what I'm doing. Least played is max maybe inf (sniper rifle or gun choices kind of suck). Confused why people play only one class since they aren't really helping the team by doing so. All my defaults are level 4 or so like nano weave whatever tools like engi medic engi has tank mines on tr and vanu heavy has nmg spec etc. Vehicles are where I'm light besides ams for sundy and rocket pods etc. Both my characters tr and vs are 32/26 br and I'm relatively new to the game (almost two weeks).

    yes, go NC ;)
    take gauss s -------or--------------- ns11a

Try playing a NC medic... lol Vanu recoil...

As for the medic part, it boils down to temper. You will lose battles often, but will make a lot more xp than any of them. You have to be ready to tolerate that and end up with a 1 to 2 K/D ratio,

wow, someone actually has a problem with the VS Medic Default Weapon.

THAT THING IS A BEAST, slap a holoscope and a Lasersight on it and your a walking deathmachine.

I recently unlocked the last tier of the Healtool and im easily the backbone of every squad i join, reviving ppl fast with100% health and having an extremely reliable weapon for all distances, what more do you want?

I've noticed that with dedicated outfit squads, I can really make a difference as Medic. However, with randoms or defense it's hopeless.

I have a feeling that in 1v1 combat I'm pretty much screwed.

Not one bit, I would say medic is one of the beefy classes with only resist shielded HA and maxes being more durable. You have to turn on your healing (f) while your getting shot + nano weave.

    - Light assault have far better aiming it feels like, I die before I can fire 1/3 of my NS11-A clip and 90% of those bullets fly next to my target even up close range (yes I have the forward grip)

Carbines(Light assaualt guns) are designed for close range combat you should find them a bit easy to aim from the hip inside rooms. They usually have more recoil and the same cof as assault rifles while aiming and better cof then assault rifles with hip fire.

Assault rifles(Medic guns) are all long range guns, pick up a 3.4x scope/forward grip/flash suppressor or compensator for your NS11-A and start picking off people from further back. If you want to be better up close get the H-V45 with reflex scope / advanced laser dot / suppressor / soft point ammo for a bit more of a carbine feel. Or don't forget shotguns! Pandora with the extended mag is sweet.

    - Heavy.. extra shield, 1v1 close combat I'm dead.

    see above!

    - Trying to rez people.. They are either bugged, being rezzed already or reject

Last one to rez gets the exp! Rez and run dont worry bout what they click just get back into the fight. You'll still be getting better exp then most.

    - Trying to heal people.. always snaps to the wrong target, other medic heals him already

F regens everyone around you. Not as fast as the tool but great for topping off peeps while shooting.

    - Healing people... low XP cause I heal too fast
    - rezzing people.. oops snapped to a target in front of me, other medic rezzed already

Annoying but not a big deal

    - K/D score... screwed over

Should be fine once your using weapons in the correct engagement ranges.

    - Tried multiple rifles.. After 2 shots the "recoil" gets so bad that I can't hit anything anymore

Really recoil on the assault rifles are around .2 ish carbines are .3 ish you should see 1/3 less on your medic the light assault.

    - Tried healing someone, if he's under fire I can't outheal the damage and by the time he gets dmg that I can heal (aka shields down), he's dead in 2 shots

Once again shoot back and use (f) to heal people around you in combat while your shooting. If they still die rez em after you've mopped up.

You missed the part where most VS weapons have 2.5-3.0x first shot recoil. Firing 'two shots' with a VS weapon is more like firing four shots. The Pulsar C actually has a 1.5x multiplier, which is the lowest out of all automatic VS weapons.

First shot recoil is something that's very difficult to compensate for with skill. No matter how good you are, every single burst will contain a significantly larger than average jump that ruins your precision. Same with damage degradation.

Medics is a great class. Dont know about the weapons you can buy but the default weapons of any factions are beasts. You just need to play with it more. Your job is to revive and heal your team anyway, not to kill people.

It all depends why you chose the class. If you want to be a killing machine with amazing weapons, I'd sugest you go HA. Medic is a wierd class in so far as its not about you, its mostly about what you can do for others. You are the guy sitting on the fringes of the assult, keeping the people who drop back injured in the fight. You're the guy who saves them the 5 second respawn, and ultimatly helps to keep the assult (or defence for that matter) alive. Will you have an amazing K/D? probably not. Does that bother you? only you can say, if it does, again, maybe you're not thinking like a medic.

I don't want you to think i mean any of the above as a critisism, truely i don't. Medic, as with all classes, will appeal to some more than others. You just have to give it your best shot, be honest with yourself about what you want, and follow it though.

    Most definately.
