[Suggestion] Vortek rotary is overpowered, buff vs and tr rotaries.

The reaver has the AB speed it does to make up for its slower cruising speeds.

So what happens when the AB runs out? The Reaver has issues.
  2. Ballto21

people have asked why i think the vs and tr rotaries needs a buff, and i am sharing the reasons for thinking so

the less personal reasons have also been stated as the nc vorteks are significantly better at what they do than the tr and vs ones according to stats and other pilots i know who i have asked
  3. Scr1nRusher

Then why didn't you title the thread "Buff the TR & VS rotary options"?

You don't have to add extra fluff or clickbait balance titles. Just be straight forward.

I would argue that, regardless of the ESF, when you run out of AB you're going to have issues. As I said, the differences in cruise speed aren't significant enough to matter at those rather short travel distances
  5. Ballto21

if i just said that nc fanboys would cry about me not including the nc, not saying you all would, but many would.

saying why the nc one shouldnt get a buff, at the same time as saying why the vs and tr ones should seemed like a better idea
  6. Scr1nRusher

But you shouldn't call something OP, to try to justify your point by using a comparison.
  7. Scr1nRusher

    Cruise speed does matter.

You realize the non-AB cruise speed difference between Reaver and Scythe is a measley 5KPH?

And are you comparing Hover frame non-AB fuel Reaver speed over distance to Racer 3 AB fuel Mossie???? That's about as unfair a comparrison as you can make. Yeah, it takes THAT to make the Mossie faster, and the Scythe still can't.

I'm talking about interms of speeds:

    No chassis vs no chassis

No chassis + AB vs No chassis vs AB

    Racer 3 vs racer 3

    Racer 3 + AB vs Racer 3 + AB

Why are you coming with this? The guy is talking about TTK, Time To Kill, this has no connection to Oracle Of Death. Either you are trying to bait me or others who actually use data to back stuff up, or you really have no idea what it actually entails.

You mention it a few times for no real reason at all... It just makes no sense.

What, with afterburners and the Reverse maneuver the Reaver is both faster and more maneuverable.
  12. Ballto21

im not saying direct buff for no downside, just dome form of rebalancing the vs and tr hailstorm.

I'd like to see the M18 buffed, the the Hailstorm is fine. The last thing I want to see is the flying pancake getting that much lethality.

Funny, I disagree with your initial idea Ballto but at least you are right: The Vortek is used much more than the TR/VS rotary equivalents. This alone shows that the Vortek is more powerful than the other NC options. It could be that the TR/VS standard weapons hold a much better synergy with their ESF frames than the Rotaries or similar, but it's less likely.

I do think that one thing should be observed: an absolute balance between the factions should be avoided. The game is build for asymetrical warfare, and you can see between the Magrider and Prowler that the developers can pull it off too. The TR/VS should not get similar DPS or traits as the NC simply because the NC is great. They should get different area's they shine in. The VS could get long-range accuracy and sustained fire, the TR could get bullet-hoses with a lower average DPS (due to misses) but more chance to hit due to that same COF. (I'm not saying that this is how it should be done, I'm saying it's an example of how it could happen).
In the end all weapons should be able to achieve the same amount of destruction ofcourse, but it would be great if all ESF had different strategies to engage eachother, one faction tries to keep distance, one tries to get in close, one needs to kill them quick or get out as they can't survive extended battles etc.

In the time I've spent in the air, you just described the reality of ESF v. ESF.

Scythes have distance, Reavers have CQC power, and Mossies are hit and run.

If you fly to the strengths of each vehicle, this is how it actually works out.

Speed really isn't an advantage. But the bigger hit box is defiantly a big issue.

did i miss something in the patchnotes in the last 3 months? when did they remove Hailstorm bulletdrop?
  18. Ronin Oni

In that case, then Reaver always wins (if by +AB / no AB being FUEL PODS. You do NOT compare speeds over distance without AB because ALL ESFs ALWAYS HAVE AB)

Sure, it's cruise speed is 5KPH less than the Scythes, which is in turn something like 20KPH slower than Moss cruise....

But Reaver AB speed is the biggest speed jump taking it to downright, outright fastest.

Traveling over 1km+ (where you'd have multiple full burns + recharge) Reaver is faster.

    End of story.

Cruise speed is the least important stat to an ESF.

Man, he mentioned it in his post.

  20. Scr1nRusher

ESF's interms of speed are 50% balancing around the cruise speeds & 50% when the AB is en use.

Also, I don't think your getting at what I am saying.

ESF speeds vs ESF speeds when AB is en usage.
