Are you familiar with the changes VCO has been undergoing? All should be available online on the website via the front page news if you scroll down.

This is the first time VCO has been below 300 members. A new age is here.

Man that was great night for ops! Ground was wrecking Esamir, and the air game was intense. No matter what came, air took it out. To the point in the end air was taunting with a Valkyrie with a horn just harassing ground sources while the rest blew them up.

VCO, epic, amazing, kick ***. Why aren't you here?!

    Dunk'n on the media,

We are making new pilots for the game in our brand new air div, check us out.

You heard it here, folks; anything VCO touches becomes blue, weaponized and liberated! I broke my vow to squad lead this evening only for the greater good of the team; I was under the impression I would have to leave half-way through the night and I know what effect it can have on a squad when the leadership swaps out (I've had to take over a few times. Never a truly seamless transition, or I've yet to see one anyway). But rest assured that I'll be leading again soon and will be trying out some new tricks I picked up tonight.

One of which is using the gawd-saw. Hollllyyyy shazbot, it works. Trust me friends, I was a non-believer. I still enjoy the Warden, but will be considering using this a little more often. The VR training room doesn't do it justice, it is an amazing weapon once you get the hang of it. I did learn to not bother using HVA, just holds back the ease of leading targets.

Tonight I rolled with Delta in a very fun evening, something I most certainly needed just as much as to redeem myself from Wednesday. I started as our dedicated Gal pilot, but transitioned to front line to give someone else the free certs for a bit. No foolin', Delta dropped on what must had been a full sunderer. Got 3.5 ribbons worth of drop-kill assists and by the end of the first hour had made approx 93 certs. Our first highlight came from the siege and eventual defense of Eisa Tech Plant. The TR, spearheaded by BWC, managed to push us out once. I suppose BWC must had moved to a new fight, because the TR pretty much handed their plant over after we regrouped. Some of the TR from various outfits stuck around but GOON placed a Sunderer on top of the vehicle bay tunnel exit and it proved too great a challenge for them to overcome. Funny as hell to watch too. After taking the plant, I suppose BWC finished up whatever they were doing and came back to party. They pulled, among others, the mother of all assets to come fight us. Two squads worth of armour and at squad and a half of air. Delta was assigned anti-asset on the landing pad and what ensued was the destruction of anything that ran with gears and oil, a great day to own an Annihilator. After losing their tanks, they attempted gal drops, three of which landed on Delta and three that Delta cleared up. One, very hilariously, landed across the pad from where our guns were pointed.... t'was fun.

But if battle tactics are what get you off, look no further than what was absolutely the best flanking maneuvers I've seen in my time with Planetside 2. After a noteworthy capture at Frostfall Overlook, VCO pushed the VS back to Yimir Eastern Way Station. The base itself was ours as well in good time, but the highlight of the battle was what came afterwards. The VS made it clear they weren't going to just let us push into their Bio Lab, reinforcing a new force of sunderers parked just outside Eastern Way's walls with a platoon-thick infantry push. VCO had the base under lock-down, all four ground squads covering the entrances confidently and our air squad covering the skies. To rid the feild of all purple party buses, Delta coupled with Bravo began a westward flank to begin a collapse. Shoutout to the VS whom fought against us, I'm sorry that I didn't make note of who it was, because they sniffed out our plans and reacted accordingly by sending their own flanking squads and sunderers to attack the areas south of the new flank. A contest of "who can blow up the most purple stuff" quickly ensued and after a slow encroach, VCO had pushed the VS back to the Bio Lab and Delta ended the evening by killing a last sunderer right under the bridge leading out from their Bio Lab vehicle bay. We could had stayed and kept the fight going, but it was late at this point so we all called it a night.

All I can say is that Delta ran beautifully, I got plenty of kills and certs, and VCO's name appears dotted among the Esamir Map once more. Do you run with people who make you feel good about your game? If no, try joining one of our squads sometimes. Join mine if you want sweet redemption! Or.. you know.. one of the experienced leads. :p

Our next ops is Sunday at 8PM EST.

Good OPs. I love it when people take initiative, communicate clearly and have fun as a result. Everyone's putting in effort to make VCO better- thank you all!
  12. Aeflic

We had what I would call a perfect op last night. Im not sure if we have ever had such a thing, but all leads were on point and moved beautifully. We took every based we attacked whether out popped or 50/50.
  13. Aeflic

Join us for ops this Sunday! 8 pm est!

VCO official spanking administrators were hard at work, ensuring that neither the VS or TR left the game without a sore rump and stern reminder of whose house this is... it's the NC's, son!

I showed up a little late to the party, joining up with Alpha squad and playing support classes for some amazing PS2. A super fun night (and not a bad cert farm either :p ) awaited me as we spent most of the night defending and pushing against fluctuating pops. Gotta say, a bit of a weird night as the VS and TR couldn't seem to pick where they wanted to be. The first highlight had to be Jaeger's Crossing on Esamir. The TR dug in deep; VCO an the NC emerging victorious from a battle at Jaeger's Fist, the TR spawned a least a Sunderer and a half per squad to their name and began setting up along the mountainside roads. The armour wasn't terribly thick, but what assets they did have and the turrets on the tower itself forced us to slow push our way into the base itself. Alpha and Delta entertained their fire long enough for Bravo and Charlie to sneak around and wipe out the red spray-painted Tonka trucks. Then the TR lost about half their pop for some reason and gave us a window to cap all three points. Again, rather odd. It didn't last long though, as the territory pop evened out and the battle was back on. They forced Alpha off A-Point, and began pulling armour once more, but a three-squad reinsertion quickly remedied that little inconvenience and the base was soon ours. Well played VCO!

Never one to back down from a challenge, I gotta give a shoutout to the assault at Hvar Tech plant on Indar. We were outnumbered two-to-one, but made one of the most convincing balcony holds I've seen as of late. We lasted a good two minutes before becoming surrounded by red and bullets. Didn't win, but was super fun anyway!

To end the evening, a well-timed defense at Quartz Ridge Camp on Indar. Alpha didn't stand still for longer than twelve seconds, the TR had infiltrated deep into the base and it required a thorough cleansing. Pushing from one room to the next, medics in back picking up those who fell, the TR made a final stand beside their three surrenders. Yeah... they all died :p

Next official ops is Wednesday at 8:00pm EST. Come on out if you wanna see some of the best strut their stuff!

Another successful ops night. It's very impressive how car VCO has come in the last two weeks. Keep up the hard work! Still looking for good players who want a competitive medium outfit.
