CITIZENS OF AURAXIS, LEND US YOUR EARS

Voodoo Company is the Emerald NC’s premier airborne-infantry led unit, specializing in rapid response, platoon level coordination and tactics. Voodoo Company goes where the fights are, and we win the day with the expertise of veteran leadership and the discipline of well-trained squad members. Currently ranked #1 amongst all Emerald Outfits of 200+ members, [VCO] boasts a 95% activity rating, hosts Official Ops three nights a week, and runs casual “squad-play” sessions throughout the day, ensuring there is fun to be had in the Outfit at almost all the time.

    For Beer, Boobs, and Freedom,
Voodoo Company vows to fight for the glory of the New Conglomerate,
    VCO will fight for you.

Official Ops: 8PM EST Sunday, Wednesday, Friday.

    What is Voodoo Company?

Voodoo Company [VCO] is the Planetside 2 division of Voodoo Shipping Co., a multi-genre gaming community founded in 2010. Formerly of Mattherson, [VCO] is quickly making a name for itself on our new server Emerald as one of the New Conglomerate’s most competitive Outfits, capable of organizing and coordinating some of the server’s best infantry and air players at a platoon+ level. We are an Outfit committed toward the team-oriented players; the players that can be trusted to stick with their squad leaders, those who can react accordingly to situations as they arise, and who can work together with their squad to ensure that the objective is accomplished.

On Official Ops Nights, our Outfit generally runs 4 squads of fast paced, specialized infantry supported by Sunderers and Galaxies, strategically deployed across a given map to rapidly capture and hold as many objectives as possible. In addition to the guys on the ground, [VCO] also offers official Air Ops and training 4 nights a week, hosted by some of the Emerald NC’s most dedicated pilots. These 2-hour sessions feature a squad of our Outfit’s best players in the air, and are reserved for those who have true passion for the air-game.

    [VCO] Offers:
    • A strong, tight-knit community of fellow gamers and friends, through which are formed the bonds of brotherhood and loyalty that help us succeed out on the battlefield.
    • Experienced and veteran leadership who will do more than put down a waypoint and say “Go here.” Expect to coordinate, flank, and work as a team to accomplish objectives in a [VCO] led squad.
    • Dedicated Air and Infantry squads that offer the full combined-arms gameplay that Planetside 2 has to offer.
    • Official Ops 3 nights a week (Sun, Wed, Fri), giving you plenty of time to roll with Emerald NC’s best led, most effective Outfit. Casual Squads every day and every hour in between.
    • A Teamspeak 3 server for Ops Night Briefs, community meetings, and casual squads. In-game Comms used for Official Ops.
    Recruitment:

[VCO] is currently recruiting team-oriented players who can prove themselves passionate towards our community and to the Outfit we are trying to build. If you want to lone-wolf, preserve your K/D, or prove how "mlgpro" you are, then Voodoo Company is probably not the Outfit for you. [VCO] prides itself on our ability to work together, pushing for objectives rather than kills, and operating as a single, versatile 12-man unit in order to win the battle.

If this sounds like the style of play you want to experience in Planetside2, or the sort of community you want to become a part of while playing, then visit our website, join our TS3, or contact one of our members in-game. Roll with [VCO] just one time and we’ll change the way you play Planetside forever.

Good re-secures/defenses on Heyoka and Onatha tonight. Had a great time leading, especially on the 2nd defense of Heyoka while holding the grinder doors.

VCO is looking for active, committed badasses, that want organized play. Doesnt mean you have to be the best, but we are looking for individuals who want organization and squad cohesive play.
  4. Aeflic

VCO is on the verge of making history. We are about to over take the leaderboards as the most dominate outfit with a pop over 200 players. Currently standing at 377 players.

Now is the time to join.

Again with the late shift blues... guess it fits the NC, huh? The final 20 minutes of Ops found one Hatsunemiki chilling with Delta, and all VCO directed their attention to Twarich Tower on Indar. The TR managed to cap all three points and were minutes away from a take down. Hell naw! VCO responded with guns and galls at ready. Delta's first objective was a re-secure of the vehicle bay. It was empty, so we joined the push towards B-point. After a lightning-quick grab of the beta point, orders came to pull our fave armor and flank the red bastards, nuking their sundies from the north east flank. Forward sundies destroyed, and blue berries pressuring the west, the towers were firmly in NC hands. Great job all!

VCO ran at least five squads, including air. If that doesn't sound like something you wanna be a part of... you are very entitled to use your freedom however you wish, good sir. But you best remember who won you that freedom, VCO! Next official ops is Wednesday at 8:00pm EST and I actually have that day off so I *should* be able to join in the whole thing this time. :p
  7. 7percents

By the power of Voodoo, join us!
  8. Aeflic

Is your outfit still active? Is your outfit bleeding members? Have your outfit leads left the game or dont log in much anymore? We want people to keep playing ps2 and encourage players to join another outfit if their current outfit is dieing. Keeping people in the game is the number one thing of importance.
  9. Ridayah

Hey you. Yeah, you. Looking for something fun? Something cool? A group that enjoys your participation, working as a team, your skills and all you bring to the fight? Then VCO wants YOU. Come join the best outfit the NC has the offer, on Emerald and soon, THE WORLD. So what're you waiting for?

Oh, you need more incentives? How bout air? We fly air. How about large ops? Three nights a week, formal ops for kicking tail. Silliness? Oh yeah, there's Karaoke and Dance ops and oh yes, our patented Agricultural Development Squads for farming all those certs! Come on in, poke us, join our teamspeak, and see just what you're missing in those other outfits!
  10. Aeflic

Just a shout out to all the NC out there, enjoy yourselves.

Karaoke night? I'll have to I've it to poose for stepping up and doing this event. Gave me a break and gave the community a fun relaxed night.

With Karaoke night just ending, I have to say it was one of the most fun nights I've had in Planetside 2. With Exodus pumping the tunes and the charisma of Ridayah, Poose, and so many others, it made for not only a relaxed platoon, but we held points and captured bases left and right, managing to take 6 bases for VCO by the end of the op!

From Still Alive to Don't Stop Believing, we sang, laughed, and kicked all sorts of *** throughout the night. If you're looking for an outfit with a thriving community, look no further. Join VCO today!

Good job for Ops for today Augest 13th 2014, Aeflic PL for that night. VCO rocks 7 bases captured in Indar. if you wondering how the crown stayed lol it kinda looked like this lol

VCO convincingly smashes Indar this evening during our official Ops! If you ever needed a demonstration that playing in an Outfit is better than going solo, look no further than VCO's siege at The Crown. All three points! That's right, ALL THREE POINTS of one of the most defensible hubs held by NC forces. VCO made its priority locking down the A-point building. The TR spawned tanks, battle buses, and brought in Air and Maxes to try and force us out. To their credit, they did once. But we just shook it off, got bored ghost capping another three-point facility to try and start a new fight, and went back to finish the job.

I rolled with Delta squad with VCO's own ace sniper Barracuda at the reins. True to Barracuda's fashion, we positioned ourselves to murder the most face; covering the stair cases as best we could. Some well placed AV grenades made small work of those pesky Maxes though and aside from one hiccup, VCO sustained for a good eight minutes to yield NC victory!

Maybe their were some outfits among the horde of red which dotted the tower, but there was clearly no unified push to clear us out. VCO is strong but the a-point building has several points of entry and I find it difficult to believe they would only be able to push us out once if there was a lead with a good eye for opportunity. Ladies and gents, this is why playing in an outfit is the only way to go if you plan on making PS2 a regular venture. Even if it's not VCO, even if it's not NC, please do consider joining an active outfit. Of course, we would love to have you if you're looking to be an active member in an active balls-to-the-wall outfit.

Try us out sometime, next official ops is Friday at 8:00pm est. Spaces tend to fill up quickly, be sure to be on time.

I don't know what it was, but we did surprisingly well for a "silly" ops night. Before we knew it, we'd totally dominated the map, taking over five bases and proudly raising the VCO flag over them. I ended the night with a 5 K/D!

We've got some quality people here in VCO who actively recruit, organize, and entertain. If you're not with us, you're missing out!
  16. OJ006

Good job for Bases captured between Indar and Hossin. Metadros PL for Aug.15,2014, 8 bases VCO. Great job everyone.
  17. Hatsunemiki

VCO has some of the best leads in the NC! VCO trains the best leads in the NC! VCO? Motherfooka, VCO lifts the chosen few who dare to call the shots in the most diverse MMOFPS on the gawddam market onto its shoulders and hands them a blowhorn and a mug of hot whisky to start their day!

Official ops found me an hour late to the shenanigans. Naturally, already full platoon so I did have to wait around for a little bit before joining up in Bravo squad. Loads of fun, and almost topping our feats of wonder last official ops by taking yet another highly defensible base. This time, Nasons Defiance was on the chopping block; yet again, poorly looked-after in the hands of the TR. This time though, the enemy did have some coordinated outfits to fight us with, making things much more interesting.

Now, a far more experienced Planetside player may know if Nason Defiance is, in fact, just as easy to defend as The Crown, but I am going to say it is simply because NO ONE knew where the crap was the C-point until about half-way through the battle. Not the NC, not even the TR. I happened to stumble upon it with some other random squad members from Alpha and Delta after orders came to encroach it and the place was bare of any TR lifeforms (assuming they have pulses under than thick layer of metal and oppression they call skin). After that, the battle became musical chairs as NC and TR traded points. After VCO simultaneously cleared A and B points, the battle finally had a bit more focus for both sides. Alpha and Bravo suppressed the south while Charlie and Delta hammered the north, keeping the TR locked into their own base. Constant threats at C-point kept our enemy preoccupied long enough to wait out an NC victory and VCO became credited as the proud new owners of Nasons Defiance. You know, along with the seven other bases we took as the evening progressed.

Oh, by the way, mostly new leads on tonight. Brothers and sisters just like me, willing to learn and share in their new found wealth of knowledge and ability to put bullets in brains. If you ever had the impulse to lead and can muster the balls to try, give us a shout. We'll help you out and hand you some of the best soldiers in the NC to get you started.

Next official Ops is Sunday at 8pm EST.

VCO casual shenanigans continue! In my attempts to become a stronger lead, I must continue to look for opportunities to stretch my tactics muscles. I opened up a casual squad today for that very purpose, running on Indar to try and find some spawn control but ended with some work on defensive play.

The day started at T.I. Alloys; pushing into heavy Armor while crossing the bridge, I noticed the NC becoming stagnant at the base of the bridge crossing from The Crown. I ordered what soldiers I had to stack behind the TR defenses and try to pop whatever logistics were there to create an opening. We found none at the initial drop sight, but a quick advance revealed a forward sundy hidden behind some rocks. A quick peg with an ODM and a few rockets later, the blueberries came out to join us. The fight quickly turned our way and the base was ours. VCO's name didn't flash as the new owners of T.I. Alloys, but me and my boys knew who got the party started and that's all that matters. Plus I got a sweet Max kill with AV grenade and rocket combo and then proceeded to murder his Infiltrator buddy and help take their point. Worth it! :D

T.I. Alloys was awesome, but the highlight of the night had to be the siege at Ceres Hydroponics even though we didn't end up taking it. Blueberries stacked up against the mountain tops for reasons unknown, my boys and I could literally walk up to the base. No reason we couldn't have a sunderer there too. My first hand as Tank Boss yielded a squad of two Sundies, three vanguards, a harasser and my lightning. Our goal; set spawn logistics up near the southwest corner of the base to guide our fellow NC to the point room. There were enough blueberries to do the job, all we needed to do was give them the means to do it. Our folly; driving the wrong freakin way! I'm not sure who was in front, or if I made the wrong call, but we made it to the other side of the bridge before we realized we were on the wrong road! But one freakin hilarious cliff dive later, we were set up and actually ended up farming a storm. No foolin, sundy bait while sitting in a lightning racks in them certs and I have no idea just how many certs Ace got simply by being the guy with the sunderer. We sustained as long as we could, longer than most forward sundies I've seen in my time, but unfortunately the blue berries simply couldn't hold point and were were forced out. There were casualties, but it was far to hilarious to matter for too long. Well played guys, thank you for that! :D

Things started to slow down after an interception at Regent Rock Garrison. The TR mounted a zerg at least a platoon-and-a-half thick. I saw it as an opportunity to practice defensive point control, but the rest of the team wasn't feeling it. Sensing things were turning into a farm fest, I called it a night before I started overthinking things again and ruin a good hour of fun.

I did learn a couple of lessons the other new leads can take with them for their next shot at glory. First, a bittersweet occasion; I kicked some players from my squad for the first time tonight. Before rolling tanks into Ceres, I attempted a Gal drop on point to prep the base. It only dropped three squad members and utterly failed. Gal still up, I had our pilot station at the Crown as I cracked the whip and ended up kicking three players. It actually did work for the better; although the LZ for the next drop was still hot, we did get bodies on point and I had my full force minus a few people I knew were afk. Ladies and gents, the spots I kicked were filled almost instantly. If you are leading a squad, do not hesitate to remove weak links. If they're not helping you out, they're just taking spots from the guys who will. And fellow soldiers, if you're not rolling with your squad lead; whether it be because you don't like his battle plan or you wanna farm something else some more, or you don't like the skin they chose (Indesert 4 life, brah!), then why on earth are you taking up that room and forcing yourself to deal with the extra comms? Tonight I had a couple members send me a /tell asking for me to put them in a Bravo squad so they could continue with their Harasser. I simply asked politely to leave and start their own squad. They did and, to my knowledge, everyone had a good time. This is YOUR game, play it the way you like to have fun. If the squad you're in isn't doing it for you, find one that will.

The second lesson I learned today was that squad leading in casual settings is, in fact, different than official ops. I told everyone at the start that I wanted to practice tactics tonight, even named the squad "VCO Tactics Practice" and only opened it to fellow VCO members. Even so, the team clearly didn't want to try their hand at defending against the TR zerg. Regardless of what I want to do and an SL, I do need to take into consideration that maybe not everyone sees it as a learning experience. Perhaps when I do this next time, I'll label the tactic I want to work on and make sure everyone knows it when they join up. No surprises that we won't necessarily be looking for the best fight and instead will be looking to work on popping sundies or guarding multiple-access rooms with fireteams.

Thank you for everyone who rolled with me tonight and put with me trying to climb the SL learning curve. So many other leads in VCO run at the top of NC, I clearly have a long way to go to reach the level I need to be at. But hell, I'll get there. And I'll share all I learn with you, dear players who happen to be looking for an outfit long enough to read my diary entries here on this forum. :p In case you haven't noticed, VCO gave me the chance to be more than just an FPS player. It can do the same for you too, if you're up for it. Even if you don't plan on running squads, you're always welcomed to run in them too! Try us out sometime. :D

Slow changes as the old guard is being replaced with the new guard.

It will take some time, but collecting the dedicated group and presenting a more competitive outfit. Looking for a strong group that can still drop the hammer, check us out for ops tmrw. /tell Aeflic in game around 8pm est.
