The shield needs to make a special noise when something hits it, so that you can discern what is hitting you and what is hitting the shield. This would mostly help testing so you can figure out how much the enemy is bypassing your shield.
Thats actually very good idea in general, it should improve the "feeling" of using the shield too. It could also help the user, get a feeling of how much damage the shield is taking, rather then looking at the shield bar all the time. Ofcourse I still think you need to bash someone over the head with that shield!
We were trying to take back point A in a tower Walking behind a max with a shield. He got shredded in seconds and everyone got concussed and killed by grenade spam. This shield is worthless. What is the point of this shield? so a max can use its crap one arm to take a point when everyone is dead behind him?
