Perhaps you should learn what the term "Generalising" means. Wiki is obviously collating information from various weapon platforms and coming up with a general figure. There are thousands more sniper rifles employed in combat than the one example you had to pick out so you could wave your hand and tell him he was wrong.

"Current day definitions for how high a human can jump is around 1m"

"NO IT ISN'T THERE'S THIS ONE GUY WHO JUMPED 3 METERS - NEVER USE WIKI AS A SOURCE OMFGZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!"

    I'd prefer Delta Force 2 myself!! :)

Current day definitions for optimal engagements (according to Wikipedia...)
Sniper Rifle: 600-800 (1,200 and above are world records).

Is what he wrote i think you need to stop skipping school and learn the correct meaning of "Generalising" CUS THAT DNT SEEM SO GENERAL ERMAGOD also who told you there were "thousands more sniper rifles employed in combat than the one example" the UN recognizes 193 countries so, each countries armed forces has around 7 sniper rifles do you have any evidence of this or are you talking more ****.

"Current day definitions for how smart a forum user is shows that the mark is around 100"

"NO ITS NOT CUS THERE IS THIS ONE GUY CALLED JEX=TE= WHOS A COMPLETE T4RD!!!!!111 NEVER USE WIKI AS A SOURCE OHMERGERWD"

I think my biggest gripe with bullet drop is that it's handled through variable gravity.

Depending on the weapon platform in use, gravity can have a different multiplier. So you have to learn not only how fast a projectile is but also how much gravity is. If gravity was constant, you'd only really need to concern yourself with the velocity of the projectile; knowing a new weapon has half the velocity of one you've used previously would let you approximate the amount of bullet drop intuitively (fairly accurately) even before firing a single shot.

edit: while there may be special weapons that fire at 1700m/s, the most common weapons in use do not approach this number. AK-47 has around 715m/s muzzle velocity, AR-15 (M16, M4) with 950+ m/s, Colt 1911 with 250m/s, MP5 with 300-400m/s, H&K G3 800m/s and FN FAL with 840m/s for example.

Also note that, afaik, the game does not reduce projectile velocity over time (through friction).

So each country has only 7 sniper rifles they use - so they all have 7 snipers each right? Or would that be 7 different sniper rifles but used by several thousands snipers of which, only a small amount use an AM sniper rifle such as the Barret. Who's the t4ard now? Also try learning to type with correct grammar, that also doesn't make you look foolish when you make a reply like this.

The fact that you wrote this just shows everyone here you didn't have a clue what I was talking about but you chose to make a reply so far of the mark that you would never pass sniper school.

the fact you pull me up over grammar shows you have no point to make, the fact you have to be captain literal shows how much of a fool you and ontop of that the cute little barb about me not passing a sniping school just shows how pathetic you are id advise you to scroll up and read what i wrote before you attempted to insult me and then what you wrote if by some reason you still cant understand it then its too late for you. id call you a troll but trolls are alot more witty and smarter than you are and it would be insulting to them nyway ive wasted enough time with you i wont be replying or viewing whatever you may write as you cant argue with stupid you have fun now.

Holy crap, you guys get those? Why isn't everyone running around with them? Actually I've probably died to those a pile of times and just figured they were typical snipers. That's WAY better than our bolt-action variant.
  8. smokemaker

I would love more effective long range weapons. Make suppressive fire actually mean something.

    But he is right.

"What makes you think you should retaliate being shot. This is exactly the "I Shouldn't have been killed cause i'm to skilled" atitude that is wrong right now. If I had more time with my mad skills I would have won. Use your skills to keep from getting shot in the 1st place and accept death when you don't."

In PS2 and the faster TTK, its more about staying alive then actually holding your aim on someone. The large advantage goes to the player with a better position and situational awareness.

Now lets add some lethality to these LMG's at range.

Like I said, you have no ability to understand the concept and you cannot address the actual points I made in contention to your moronic reply. So now you bail out by trying to make out I'm some kind of ******* (probably your sock puppet anyway) by trying to make it to all be about your grammar when you know exactly that was not the main part of my reply which was...

Had you not called me a ******, I wouldn't have pointed out your lack of writing skills nor your failure to get the point which you still cannot. Now you try to switch the argument to one about grammar and trolling as you run away trying to claim a victory. Nobody here is fooled btw.

Wiki is a perfectly good source and everyone here that has a working brain actually can work out that anti material rifles are a tiny fraction of sniper rifles used in the world therefore statistically, don't count that much when looking at sniper rifles as a whole which is what the wiki page meant (and blindingly obvious too).
  11. Puppy

It sounds like a great ifea but those weapons could be to powerful at close ranges. Might want to reduce hipfire accuracy or possibly have it's time to kills longer (but at least it would be effective ar range).

So GU07 is here now and nothing has really changed.. Battle Rifles have gone from being terribad aim and shoot weapons to subpar trigger spam weapons and the scout rifles got some very minor buffs mixed with some nerfs. It seems everything was working as intended all along and they just shuffled some numbers around to appease the crowd.
