Vehicle Resource-Nerf

    They are faster, stronger and have more fire power.

    Yes, You can't charge into a 40 people solo and kill them all and drive away with no damage to your tank. How strong do you want the dam tank to be??? Sounds like you want a tank that should only be able to spawn once a week.

    And for all of those things they are forced into an artillery playstyle cowering behind friendly infantry and firing from at the very least 150m out.

    They are not fast enough, stable enough, or durable enough to be run and gun. They ARE mobile turrets. Which makes it even funnier when people say "you shouldn't play it like a mobile turret". As if MBT's could compare to harassers, they can't even fulfill their own role. Let alone any other role. What you have is a vehicle that costs more than a Sunderer with none of the utility and less survivability.


    They've been left to act as nothing but artillery, trying to survive the endless free AV spam and suicide rushers, All the while being forced at any given moment to make decisions between multiple upgrade options which are all mandatory.



    Your attempts at exaggeration gain you nothing. The reality of the matter is obvious to anyone who actually uses a tank.

    Honestly AV is waaaay to ubiquitous now. . . unless a monstrous zerg is around, armor is generally not the best option for doing anything except perhaps spawn camping.

    I would like to see the balance restored to armor, but ONLY IF there were meaningful areas of play where armor was either not present or severely gimped.

    I like big amor fights in which enemy armor is the threat. Where C4 and lockons aren't the biggest threat. I miss these greatly.

    I also like infantry-dominant fights.

    I would hope there is room for both.

    They should make it where if you have a weapon on it, it cost 3-4x more than what it used to cost..
    25 resources for the toilet paper and 75-100 for the gold plated toilet...

    Their armor is fine. c4 needs a serious increase in cost though.

    Yes they are, You just can't drive in alone against 30 troops and excpet to make it.


    You CAN, drive around major battles blow up tanks and turrets and infantry like it's going out of still if you are smart.

    You can also sit there and ran down death if you get 2 or 3 infantry engs behind you. Tanks are WAY stronger then infantry when played right.


    What you seem to want like i said is a tank that should be spawn once a week. You not going to to dive into the center of a massive army and start blow everything in sight to hell.


    You know why I use a tank, When I have had a rough day playing infantry and want a ton of easy kills because tanks are STRONG.

    And you continue to intentionally miss the point and exaggerate in place of an actual argument. Rather than address anything you just try and ignore it as hard as you can. I'm impressed at such a show of willful ignorance.


    If your only response essentially boils down to "well if you cower in the back and try to snipe you can still kill some people" Then you've made my argument for me. Tanks are nothing but the most expensive ground vehicle acting as a glass cannon in the game.



    So if in your pathetic little example an MBT is supposed to be sitting in the back and taking out people from range. Why have they not un-nerfed the HE/HEAT so they can act like proper artillery?


    Oh wait. The MBT's in the past have been geared towards filling multiple roles with a wide variety of secondary weapons and equipment / abilities. None of which it can really do anymore due to having to treat it like it's made out of paper.....


    I do love driving my.... not really an artillery platform / not really an assault vehicle / not really a skirmish vehicle / That costs 450 resources....

    Tanks are faster,
    Tanks are stronger
    Tanks have more fire power.

    For these reason they are limited.



    It's your opinion that they are not strong enough but the fact remains that they are stronger.

    Nooo. :L I want flash to be cheap always! I want to be able to derp around with fury flash trying to find some safe spot to shoot from or drive up in a tower and surprise and annoy the defenders.

    1. "Tanks are faster" Nope infantry can redeploy on any point on the map via spawn beacon or map spawn before a tank can get there. They can traverse terrain a MBT cannot.

    2. "Tanks are stronger" Infantry can kill tanks faster than tanks can kill tanks.

    3. "They have more firepower" ESRL's and AV Turrets can out range a MBT, and infantry grenades and C4 do more splash damage to infantry than tank shells.

    And it is your opinion that ANY of that matters when presented with limited numbers vs free, effective and utterly spammable AV.



    Your entire argument is that it's a bit better. Which lasts about 3 femto seconds when you realize any given MBT is going to be the target of everyone within sight who outnumbers them anywhere from 3-10 vs 1.


    Your argument would have worked back when MBT's were 250 resources. They were cheap and spammable and had to be kept weak. Now they are not cheap or spammable and they have not gotten any better. Instead you are now driving what is essentially a liability.


    How many armor outfits actually play anymore? I've watched several of them die out as of late. Gee I wonder why...

    I suppose if you repeat it often enough it must be true right? lol

    Anyway It looks like SOE's attempt to take tanks out of the game will be successful. Vehicle players will leave, new players will look at cert costs for vehicles and say "why bother?" and roll stock with no upgrades... Infantry will get bored with infantry battles and wonder why those 500xp vehicle kills are few and far between and there will be a general lose of interest in the game.

    The nerf-side2 is turning into a dud for me. But luckily there are other things to do on the net and other places to find entertainment after nerf-side2 fails.

    Speed is talking about combat and you know it. A tank can run down and out maneuver a solider on the battle field.

    If you get C4ed you screwed up. You are faster stronger and and have a longer range. If you get killed by it you blew it.
    It like the knife when it killed in 2 hits pretty fast that doesn't make it better then a LMG because the enemy made big mistakes in order to let the knife happen

    Infantry is limited to 1 or 2 of the items you talk about while a tank hold 40+ and can use them from very very long range.

    Well, I don't know what to tell you the vehicle prices are based on how well on average they preform in combat(kills, Exp gains).

    I gave you the reason for the changes but you are free to spread a river of tears if you choose to.
