Vanu infantry feeling a bit more powerful?

So ive been playing quite a bit for the past few days, and been having a good time of it. Mostly.

I dont really ever go into rage mode very often, mostly for those times you get caught around a corner by enemy rounds due to latency. Im one of those guys who doesn't like to die.

Recently though, I have been having a harder and harder time combating the Vanu threat. Dont get me wrong, there is a great player base on that side (due to (i believe) to the MLG style weapons and 'we own the night' 'default camo.'). But this isnt just runnng into BAID or T42. Its generally across the board.

It may be the laser headshots at 300 meters taking 90% of your shields and health away, a skill easily obtained by a new player at BR2 or a BR100, it may be the super purple. Honestly, I don't know. And im not one to cry over op this and op that. The game will never be perfect. But im wondering, am i going crazy or does anyone else feel this too?

About the only thing that worries me in battle with the NC are their scat maxes and shotguns (in general).

Anyways, PROPS out to BAID and T42. You guys have some skilled individuals.

Only the Orion.

Nope, only out of line faction, at least infantry weapon wise, is NC.

- Cyclone best SMG
- Best mid-long range automatics (EM6, Mercenary, Gauss Rifle)
- Best "S" weapons
- Jackhammer best shotgun
- Best MAX for point offense/defense
- Rocket launcher that can be spammed at vehicles around cover


VS just has the Orion, really.

Yeah that Orion is pretty amazing.

The Orion is skewer of all opinions. I do think the HV45 is a sexy CQC gun, though.

Orion is a decent weapon. Not great IMO. Personally I prefer the NS15. Its the easiest LMG for me to keep on target at any kind of range. None of the ES VS LMG's are very good at range IMO.

I haven't played any other factions so I can't really compare weapons. I think the default camos are actually pretty balanced. While the VS may have a bit of an advantage at night and in shadows, the redish hue of the TR and the grey/blue of the NC work really well in certain areas. It really depends on the background. NC blue/grey seems to work well inside most buildings. TR can be hard as heck to spot in many places on Indar.

If u look at the leader boards Hondadude and louie are top 5 also t42 has a strict 18+ and br over 30 requirement that is why we can stay organized and defeat the odds.

Yeah im aware of the local celebrities in T42. There are people I dont like as people in there as well. As for those rules, Sol Ex does that as well.

Yes of course VS infantry are better at the game.

Its nothing to do with us spending a long time with the worst ESF A2A noseguns, and the worst MBT weapons, and several excellent infantry weapons.

That NC default sniper though...

did the SV88 get nerfed? i thought that was the go to lmg for vs

It was. Then recoil increase just went and made it a worse Orion.

Well, it may also be that we as a faction are normally underpopped and used to fighting against odds that are not in our favor. While it doesn't make us super troopers by any means, months of that kind of adversity does make a player slightly better than someone used to fighting where the odds are ever in their favor.

In other words, we're just really good loosers who make you pay for every inch of ground you inevitably take!
