[Suggestion] Vanu Colors need to be changed-Night battles

They are very very difficult to see at night. A nice dark purple uniform against a nice dark sky, building etc.

Make the green or whatever complimentary color stick out a bit or give everyone black camo or clothes.

Yeah I could turn up my brightness to stupid levels. That is not the point.

The 3 factions are not supposed to be carbon copies of each other.
They should have various strengths and weaknesses like this (this particular one you described, a minor advantage).
So turn up your brightness if you must.

I think what makes me laugh the most is how infiltrators glow in the dark.

and some vanu inf helmets light up making them really easy to counter snipe at night.

I won't even fight an outdoor battle with vanu anymore. They are almost completely invisible, and there tracers are so bright they give me headaches. I feel like I'm at a rave or something.

I like how your response to a broken color scheme is "Turn up your brightness" as if it's the player's responsibility to alter his or her graphics settings to have an equal playing field. Change the vanu color scheme to be mostly teal (like the teal they have on their clothes already) and then outline it with purple. It would make faction identification easier between vanu and NC and it would also balance out night time play. It isn't a gigantic issue, but the solution shouldn't be client side every time the flipping sun goes down.

NV scopes are the best thing is this game.

Their primary color is supposed to be teal but everything else on them is black or dark purple so it hardly helps.

NV scopes are fine but are fairly limited in distance. No other race has an advantage like the Vanu do at night. It is certainly not a game breaker, I believe that something should be done to equalize the differences. While all races should have advantages and disadvantages I don't think that the devs have said anything relating to day or night fighting.

It is simply their colors lend themselves to be more difficult to see in many environments in game.

No they arnt, but they will be. todays gamers want everyone to be a mirror. SOE will provide that for them. :(
You can give them all the tools to avoid something 100%, an it doesn't mean you can make them use said tools. If they did, NV scopes would fix the issue for them.

Dont you dare touch my purple... pants. ;)

    I agree with the OP.
At night the VS do have an advantage over other factions because of their dark camos while the other nations have bright colors not providing any camo at all.
  12. Vargs

You might have a point here if Vanu didn't also have fantastic guns, far and away the best tank, and possibly the best ESF. The only real disadvantage to being Vanu is that their anti-infantry MAX isn't too great which isn't exactly a balanced trade-off.
  13. Yeo-Yin

you forgot that vs land mines has lights on it. Lights. On mines.
  14. Ixal

And TR Claymores have green laser beams. Its not a VS exclusive.
  15. Tasogie

You also gotta remember VS are sposed to be Aliens, that means they are going to have some pretty cool crap :). It does not make them unbalanced nor invulnerable. You just have to learn how to take them down. It isn't difficult.
Vanu snipers suck munkey nuts, Vanu HA, are not bad, but their Missile launchers really suck (as I am a cloaker) I never miss when I see a Vanu rocket pop up, because it highlights the launcher 100% of time.
point I am making is Vanu are great, they sound great, have cool effects,an looks great.
    But they are nothing special.
  16. Naberius13

All the Rocket and Missile Launchers are the same except graphics by the way. They're not aliens, they just mugged the Space Pirates from Metroid tech from some long gone alien race.

Still, if I have to wear a yellow safety reflective belt then I demand Vanu have to wear one too, it's safety first after all. I'll settle for neon teal highlights so I can pretend I'm shooting ravers.

Really the change that should be requested is that NC colors are altered to not make them stick out like a sore thumb. TR is just as hard to see at night as Vanu. Just level the playing field - if you want to spot players easily at night, use an IR/NV scope. That's part of what it's for.

Vanu does not have to use NV to see their enemies, why should I have to be limited to a NV sight that has a very limted sight distance because of a poorly thought out dev decision? They need to add some neon teal or green to the get up so they are a bit easier to detect.

Or they can change the TR and NC colors to more closely match or provide a set of stock camo for all to use at night, in ice, etc.
  19. Tasogie

This made me laugh so hard...
  20. Smoothshot

This really needs to be fixed. Vanu advantage at night due to hard to see camo colors is huge.
