Since the cease fire voice command plays basically automatically these days I think it could be taken out of the manual voice command list to free up space for something new. If you agree post your suggestions below. I'll start. - a simple "no" in various versions - something like "take the objective" - maybe even "need MAX support" or "hack enemy console/turret" I'm sure there's more and probably better suggestions. Go.
I use it all the time to get gunners in my sundy to stop shooting at that Liberator THAT HAS NO IDEA WE ARE HERE!!!
Shazbot! Seriously though these stupid numbers are annoying. I don't use any voice commands farther down the list than five because having to lift my hand to hit them is stupid. Tribes VGS menu > anything else.
Yes. And depending on your current position/whatever is most important at the time, it would say: - Guard the Generator! - Repair the Generator! - Take Alpha Point! - Repair the SCU! - Destroy that S-AMS! (or whatever it's called, I can never remember.) That's my idea at least, any others?
I think the voice command system should be reworked for those of us that don't like to use voice chat. First off it should send to local AND squad, if you're in one. And it should have a bit more structure to it. I'd rather hit 1-5 twice than reach all the way over to 9 or 0. I'd like some more specific commands like "I need a gunner" that points nearby infantry to the tank or Lib looking for one.
I would say it could be used for directing guys at something, "Kill that [class, vehicle]" "take that [point, generator]" "hack or destroy that [turret, terminal]" And so on, and so forth. What your character says is based off of what you are pointing at. Would be a nice addition, but its not entirely necessary or a priority.
