SPECIALIST SQUADS For those that wish to get more out of their PlanetSide 2 experience with us, our specialist squads will have regular training sessions where we'll cover areas such as squad cohesion, general tactics and specific roles, all of which will be put to use ingame. What we look for in our recruits ACTIVE Whether you like to put in 30+ hours game time a week, or are more of a casual player, our only requirement here is that you put in enough time to stay active within the outfit. CONTRIBUTES There will be times when we expect our members to simply get stuck in and go with the flow. However, once the dust has settled, we also appreciate it when our members voice their opinions and participates in outfit matters. TEAM PLAYER We expect new recruits to be willing to work with the rest of the outfit when it comes to achieving objectives. This is generally achieved by listening and responding to other outfit members, and supporting your team mates. COMMUNICATION Information, when passed around, can have a huge effect on the outcome of a battle. We expect our members, from squad members to platoon leaders, to call their targets, notify their fellow members of anything significant, and generally practice active voice communication. This goes hand-in-hand with being a team player. I've known the clan leader for nearly a decade (since school). He manages to create the right atmosphere to strike the right balance between serious gaming and having a laugh. UR was originally founded by CombatSpark in 2006 - with leadership experience since then, he is definitely the right person to have running an outfit. Must admit I'm exceedingly happy with joining this outfit. Been with them since launch now, and they were exactly what I was looking for. Not one of those huge outfits that makes you feel your contribution is dwarfed, but instead a place with plenty of chances to participate not only on a normal level, but also on a meta level, where you are rewarded for your efforts, and free to play the way you want to, be it infantry, vehicle, or air, and fill what role you are most comfortable with. Add to that a great sense of humor and hospitality, and it's a place you'll feel at home in very soon. At least that's what happened in my case. ^^

I joined this outfit back in the beta and it was wicked fun, even with all the invisible tanks and hilarious clipping problems. This group conitunes to get stronger and is always a good laugh. Couldn't recommend them more!
We've certainly been through a lot since we started off, and we are still hoping to develop into something more.
I used to let my rage build up and lash out at nearby inanimate objects, but now I just gun down hapless Vanu and feel good about myself.

Witness, my fellow Vanu, the mindless, bloodthirsty character of the typical New Conglomerate soldier, who's only outlet for their pent up angry issues is the murder of innocents. This is why we must fight for the path of enlightenment, of understanding and the right to give female troops figure hugging spandex one-piece bodysuits without complaints of sexual harassment or discrimination.
First and foremost, there are few people who can call themselves innocent among the armies of any empire. Our anger is on the behalf of everyone stranded on Auraxis; the people who are trying to make a living. The Terran Republic enforces laws that were indeed acceptable and worthwhile, when the population it was trying to create safety and security for, numbered in the hundreds of billions. Now that the number has dwindled to 200 thousand, those same rules can no longer apply. Likewise, the people of Auraxis do not need frightened religious fanatics spouting prophecy of doom. Former academics who have allowed their inability to cope and the fear thererof, to form the basis of a their newfound religion - a belief based solely on the visions and whispers claimed to be heard by few, of a benign alien race adament on saving the human race - yet seemingly having been unable to save themselves. The citizens of Auraxis need to be able to live as they see fit, governed by a law dictated by morality and ethics, not power and dominance. Nor do they need the raving fanatics of Vanu to frighten them into submission, simply because the fanatics themselves incessantly need everyone else to believe their "postulate", or face the horror of introspection and dismissal of their fanatic conviction. The Terran Republic is nothing but an oligarchy too inept to adapt, ensuring Death by Blind Loyalty. The Vanu Sovereignty is nothing but failed academics, blinded by a fanatic belief in a "Technological religion". The New Conglomerate, acknowledges the need to adaptation, not stagnation, as well as the need for cooperation, not assimilation. This is where safety lies. This is where survival lies. And Urban Rage, are the people creating a means to that end.
Taking usernames in to account, I really should be playing for TR. But when they found out that I had formal education beyond secondary school and I declined to sign up to their "re-education program", I was promptly kicked out of the Republican military academy and deemed "unfit" for society. The Vanu were the only faction of the three willing to accept someone with 3+ GCSEs at grade C or above as one of their own.
