    1. GSD's ability to dive

If you think about the gateshield's function, it's to go through objects that would otherwise block it, giving it the ability to submerge under water would actually make sense, it would make GSD more useful in the field other than in bases.

And being a slow floating target with no means of finding cover isn't exactly fun.

    2. Aquatic ammunition

I know we already have new assault rifles that can shoot underwater, and Infiltrators having the ability to use them is a nice touch. BUT instead of that, why not have weapons with an "aquatic ammunition" trait?

There is one thing that should probably be addressed, and that would be how slow everybody moves underwater, it makes sense, but because if how slowed people are, the damage shouldn't reflect above-water fights. For the amount of evasiveness lost, bullets shouldn't be punching with the same velocity and damage.

And all vehicle weapons, not just ESF noseguns, should have some effect shooting into water, roughly 30 meters of effective range with reduced velocity, #4 would help nicely with this.

    3. Aquatic airframes

Given other airframes give great buffs to either turning, speed, or hoverability, if there was an airframe that would let you keep your basic movement speed both in the air and water, it would make sense.

This airframe would be situational, just like how the daredevil chassis is situational, and give you the ability to move freely in water like you would above it.

    4. Air bubble for engineers

Engineers have the ability to give ammunition in the dry battlefield, which is usually best for everybody else around them, giving engineers the ability to drop an air bubble device, similar to that of the shield recharger, but with a timed duration of like 5-10 seconds would make it to where people who would be in the water, are now able to function in the air bubble regularly, enabling abilities for the duration, this would be most effective with medics being able to revive people underwater and engineers being able to repair underwater, however it would enable all dry mechanics, so that's an extremely long list of use cases.

Aquatic ammunition should probably be the only ammo-type that could fight through the air-bubble field however.
