Truth-telling: What do you do when ally and enemy are both in your line of fire?

If an enemy has both of us in a direct line of fire, which means that he can headshot us both with minor mouse movement, then it means that my positioning is horribly wrong. Sometimes of course this can be unavoidable, like when you're slicing an opening or a corner, but still, I avoid to expose myself in the same line of fire.

Usually, shoot, stop, so I don't get TK, wait half a second for body to drop, shoot again.

Depends on the situation. But if you have a jillion guys camping the enemy and instagibbing anyone who pops their head out, then you don't need to shoot through your teammates. That's what I call being a ****** player.

I hold my fire, although I have had a few "accidents" along the way. Sometimes an accidental TK is inevitable and I always apologise. If I am medic, or I'm near a terminal so I can change to medic, I will go out of my way to heal someone I have killed.

If one of the guys is trying to knife the other: I'm shooting.
If I can edge out a clear shot: I'm shooting.
If my team mate is strafing in lock step with me: I hold fire. UNLESS
I'm using a MCG that is already sped up. If my MCG is sped up I have no remorse for any poor sap who gets in my sights.

I usually hold my fire if an ally gets in my way, though it does get irritating when I'm in the middle of shooting and an ally steps in from of me and gets hit with the last few bullets of my burst and dies.

What always boggles my mind is when someone runs into your line of fire, they get shot and they just stay there after just taking damage rather than moving back to cover or at the very least away from where they just got shot.

I almost always hesitate and will try to reposition to get a better shot and try to help whoever it is, but if it is blatant stupidity where they just don't move I'll do the empire a favor and deny the enemy a cert point.

First, I spot. Then, if I'm a medic, I'm far more likely to kill everything, then sort out the revives later. If I'm not a medic, it depends if the friendly is actively defending itself. If the friendly is juking and firing, I'll hold my fire as long as I'm not being shot at. If they're shooting at me, I shoot at the enemy regardless. If the friendly is oblivious, he or she is dead already, so there's no harm in shooting at the enemy regardless of who's in the way. If I teamkill as a medic while shooting at the enemy, then I prioritize that revive first, if possible.

If he was there before the enemy appeared then I step into cover and see how it ends up because 9/10 the enemy will kill you both if you stay there and he gets your friendly.

If he steps in front when the enemy was already there then I straight up murder him and send the enemy a tell requesting a temporary truce in order to Team-tag him. Obviously joking but I do shoot right through him to kill the enemy and if he wasn't lucky enough that the enemy dies first then they both die. I died too many times trying to shoot around a friendly that sees I am shooting at something and decides to dance in front of me.

That question depends was the ally already in the line of fire? If so you let him take him out while finding cover or concealment. But If he jumps in front of you...well that is a different story, It's either you or the enemy shooting for a double kill.

If this friendly body-blocks in a 2v1 or whatever, I'll hold fire and let him do some damage before he gets blasted apart, I'll then step in and finish tha job.

If he is strafing back and forth between my target and my line of sight, then i try my best to only shoot when i have a clear sight, leaving me with an assist, like a scrub.
Feels like PS1 stairfighting clusterhumps sometimes.

I swear we sometimes have no choice but to hold the trigger down. They(AOD) literally swarm our LoS like locust.
