TR is the worst faction. Losing the War

I'll say it again and again...

There needs to be more incentives for the number 1 and number 2 population and performance factions to attack each other, rather than attack the weakest faction. The whole point of a three faction is that although one faction may become more powerful than another faction, it shouldn't be more powerful than the other two combined.

There is a reason TR is falling. Nobody at SOE is a TR. There I win.

NC - traitors who sold their Motherland for a "freedom" candy
VS - xenophylic religious sect

Don`t want fighting with honor for Terra - trying to escape for easier life where others will do everything instead of you?

All of these things aside, on Emerald, the TR are the lowest population faction during prime-time by at least 5%. Both the NC and VS have about equal populations. I blame 2 things for this:

1) TR effectively has no leadership. There is no one trying to pull on outfits across the server to organize into cohesive fighting units with dedicated specializations. It may occur once or twice during alerts, but we need more outfits to step up and take command.

2) TR combat just isn't fun. Almost everything that the TR has is available to the NC and VS via NS weapons. Our tank has nothing unique that doesn't stand out as a potential weakness (anchor mode I am looking at you). Our ES rocket launcher requires LoS for at least 4 or 5 seconds, whereas the annihilator does nearly the same amount of damage and is a fire and forget. There is nothing special about the TR. They say ammo capacity and bullet volley is our strong suit, but all I see is inaccuracy and lack of novelty.

I assure you that there is nothing worse than Cobalt's TR.

I have always wondered if certain Types of people are attracted to each faction when they start not based on the weapons or any thing but based on the colours and what the faction stands for.

honestly I like the trs equipment, but I dont really vibe with the people who play tr.

Higby plays TR, your argument is invalid. This explains why are medic arsenal is so great, by the way.

I don't know what happened to the TR after them merge, they have the lowest pops and the only server they are on is Hossin.

The other servers they are just getting rolled IF the VS or NC will even bother with them.

I have had BR 25/CR 5 TR and now 73 and the leadership in this part of Planetside isn't as in depth.. Just follow your squad, be a good player.

I play on connery as VS , with a br3 in TR which i was thinking about going TR when i first tried the game ANYWAYS that aside last night between Amerish and Hossin, i felt the TR had overwhelming numbers, gloating in yell chat about steam rolling us on hossin to the point where any atteack attempt was met with a zerg. this was around 10pm PST, i was honestly surprised how it happened, battling around some middle map facility on hossin for a while, then suddenly the swarm appears. i dont want to seem to exaggerate numbers but wow i was a little impressed either at the 4th empire or if it was coordinated which it might have been but either way. to say the TR on connery sucks isnt an entirely true statement. i dont like fighting TR anywhere cause it seems they are a tough nut to crack defensively.

in any case i welcome pop locks maybe itll force some people to play an empire without jumping to another but i highly doubt that. as i browse around i see the odd posts of ppl saying "if my empire isnt fighting on the continent i like, i log off" or "if its locked now i'll just switch to something else" call me old fashioned ps1 player but back then if u saw a continent locked u made an attempt somewhere else, and in this case if hossin was Pop locked ud go push another front while waiting to get in, not log off or switch empires. guess thats what makes this game different. u dont like this flavor of ice cream switch to another.

TR ceres is worst last night i created a TR toon in Emerald cuz i was tired of how empty is ceres, well vs has a pain to fight we lose like 3 bases against zegs until we defeat them in tech plant in a +1 hour battle, and NC in Heyoka we got totally slaughterd, i see TR is better defending than attacking

I come from the days of when TR where the top dogs, dominating relentless zerg that were also ******** and shove your face into the mud while they effortlessly rolled over your corpse with their tank columns and at the time better weaponry........

Why is TR so bad? Is it just a cycle? I remember when TR was stomping everyone. I guess every faction has its highs and lows. TRs seem to be lasting a bit longer.

It's not just about how long the current trend of lower TR populations is lasting, it's about how low the pops are actually hitting. At this current time there is 27% TR on Emerald. As more VS and NC start to log in throughout the day we are going to see that number drop. Unfortunately in the long run TR don't have a matching arsenal to compete with the other factions due to horrible game design and balance decisions.

The guy who built awesome bases, is directly responsible for the development of several major game-mechanics, and was part of the enclave?

As someone who plays all 3 factions pretty regularly on Connery, I can say with confidence that NC/VS intentionally double-teaming TR doesn't happen. Ever. NC and VS fight each other just as much as they fight TR. Fact of the matter is, all Connery factions can and absolutely DO find themselves the target of the other two on a regular basis; that's just how this game works.

I play on Connery where Higby is somewhat active.

Higby plays all factions from time to time and uses the same character to do so. I see him as NC the most often overall though. It is definitely false to simply say "Higby plays TR".

Playing on Connery since the start with toons in every faction, I can say TR when comes to down zergs is the worst of the three. It has nothing to do with weapons, player skill(there is a lot of good TR players), there is a utter lack situational awareness and coordination. TR gets flank way too easily and gets utterly crushed, TR tanks will ball up together and not move as NC armor encircles them. Of coarse everyone has different perceptions playing the game, but I feel the most aggravated playing in a TR zerg as a VS player, our zergs at least are some what better then the other two factions when removing the outfits from the fight.
